Sugar Land April 2nd & 3rd

Okay folks, let me preface this by telling you that I have a daughter on a combined team this spring here in Central Texas called the Dream Team. We have been planning on putting this team together since last spring. You can make all the assumptions you want on this board, but this team was put together for the sole purpose of keeping our 8th grade girls playing while our older '96 girls are playing for their high school teams. It's as simple as that. And I'm pretty certain that's the reason most of these combined teams (Young Ones for example) are playing right now. My daughter has paid her dues by being on the flip side of this scenario, being on the younger team that has played these combined teams last year. It has only helped her by seeing strong competition and making her step up her game. So..to all of the 1st year 14U's and teams playing up, enjoy and respect the competition because this situation could happen to you at some point also.

I saw the Dream Team at the Bombers tourney a couple of weeks ago and they are a very good team. They had a heck of a match up with the Young Ones that could have gone either way. I am all for teams like these that keep the 14's that play up playing... When it is time to go back to your older teams there are no hard feelings and the girls get to keep playing and keep their game sharp.. So I say good job to the DT and the YO.

Way to go Force! Undefeated all the way to the ship. There were some hard fought battles all the way against some great teams. We are very proud of you girls!

Thanks to the Magic for a great tournament. Good competition, well run. Father of 4 we appreciate all the hard work you guys put into this one!
