USFA has determined that all 14U teams can wear metal cleats!

The reason USFA has decided to allow 14U to wear metal cleats is an economic issue for the parents. The 14U’s playing in High School should not have to buy other cleats just to play in the Spring and Summer.

It has come to our attention that some of the teams playing in 14U 40 feet division are concerned about players wearing metal cleats.

Please respond to this poll as we are studying the issue of 14U 40 feet division and metal cleats:

You can debate whether Metal Cleats are safe or unsafe. Cause injuries etc, etc, etc.
They are going to happen !!! The girls should be allowed at 14u to start using them and learning how to use them. They give more grip in all kinds of weather and field conditions which is a plus, which could prevent some injuries. On the other side they might cause knee or ankle problems because they do grip.
Over all I feel they are a plus and if you use them in High School let the 14u use them. Alot of 14u's are freshman in high school.
Yes the pitching distance should be at 43 feet.
