What a great weekend! The opportunity to watch the pro games and meet the players was awesome. My daughter was most impressed by the player introductions, she was excited to be able to touch the hand of four pro players. The players were very nice and the amateur tournament was well run. Was anyone else able to attend?

Are there any pros and cons of the tournament?

I wish our team would have been there and more of the older teams would support it.
25 teams at 10U, 15 teams at 12/14U, ZERO at 16's, and 5 at 18's.

I would think the whole show would be worth the extra dough. How many times are you going to see Lisa F rip a 3 run shot in your own backyard? Personally, I would love to meet Jessica Mendoza, what a class act.

So the team pays an extra $140 bucks- a drop in the bucket to help support these ladies who don't see multi-million dollar contracts when they graduate hs or college.

I think the main issue for most of us is that the time of year that it is held. A lot of teams have barely finished with tryouts. It may not be possible due to schedules, but it would be a more successful event if it could be done more towards the middle of September. Just my two cents, because it does seem like a great opprotunity for everyone and something that we should all get behind and support.

I was at PFX last year and it was really not what it was sold to be. It was really kind of ...boring.....That is why we did not go back this year...maybe if they dropped the fee, but not for 500 bucks and 3 games. I think the older teams pretty much made a statement by staying away this year. I don't really think it is for any other reason..I know other tournamnets in 16u and 18u were huge that weekend. Maybe not the best competition, but there were still 16u and 18u teams playing their hearts out...lots of teams.....not just 3 games for $500.

yes the PFX is a little more expensive then most tournaments, but I think its a chance to support the women that have given alot of our girls goals for there future.

We spend big money going to watch men play professional sports, I think we can pay a little more once a year to support Women and Professional softball.

On another note why the heck are the professional teams all play on the east coast.
