There are exceptions, of course, but if it wasn't this way I doubt that there would be any organized sports outside of HS. All I'm saying is that most coaches are there for their DD first.
If you want loyalty buy a dog. Beyond that, grow up and stop crying about what a cold cruel world we live in.
Lunatic out!
lol..................
Always someone who thinks your the one crying if you make the post. Not the case here Lunatic. Never been left behind, never been turned down. Just think it is sad that players are called out if they change teams and not much said about a coach who does it. That's all. Bottom line, the coaches/players are involved in the game for the same reasons..... themselves! So why single out the players and label them team jumpers when coaches do the same? Where's the commitment start and end?
Sorry for being testy. I've been off my meds.
"Loyalty" is about as abused a word/phrase as "patriotism", "yankee" and "I'll still love you in the morning". When I used to work in the Residential construction arena, some builders did very well by hooking up with good developers. They got alot of work and they got paid. Other builders who were trying to break in quite often ended up working for scumbag developers who made alot of promises but couldn't or wouldn't deliver (no work & no money, or even worse, work & no money)
Find a good developer (coach in this instance) and if you're lucky you can go the distance. Unfortunately, most have to play the field for awhile before they find a good situation. By the way, many parents are scumbags too, especially the unathletic ones who are convinced that their DD is the next Lisa Fernandez, except their DD is as short, round & slow as they are. Funny how the good programs don't want 'em, unless they are desperate.
Sometimes too much to drink is barely enough.
