I don't believe college coaches care a bit about a kid's "resume" - whether a kid did or didn't play at ASA/USFA/T-Ball 12U nationals. If you're choosing a 16 year old, do you care about the player she is today? Of course. Do you care what she did when she was 12 years old? Why on earth would you? Unless/Until college coaches are scouting 12 year olds, I suspect their exploits at that age are completely irrelevant in the eyes of college coaches. My kid was never asked about what she had done in the past by a college coach nor to my knowledge were any of her coaches asked about it. If her travel coaches had been asked I would likely have heard since they had no idea what she had done. They didn't care when they asked her to be on their travel team.

10 years from now I'll wish I felt like I do these days.
