Here is what's wrong with Texas Teams

by Fastpitch360 » Mon Dec 22, 2008 4:32 pm

I found this intresting, I pulled up on the VTD I put in batbusters as a search and then Gold ..Look how many so called Gold Teams that Fort Worth Batbusters have and then look at the two top organizations in California. If Ken could combine all of these teams that would be a start but still would be very weak in the Gold division.

Anaheim Orange County Batbusters CA
18Gold Southern California Travel Teams

Case Batbusters 18U Gold CA
18Gold Southern California Travel Teams

Fort Worth Batbusters 18U Gold Edwards TX
18Gold Texas ASA District 24 Dickie Edwards

Fort Worth Batbusters 18U Gold Card TX
18Gold Fort Worth ASA Doug Card

Fort Worth Batbusters Gold Anderson TX
18Gold Southlake Girls Softball Association Lisa Anderson

Fort Worth Batbusters Gold Graves TX
18Gold Fort Worth ASA Ken Graves

Fort Worth Batbusters Gold(Mitchell) TX
18Gold Texas ASA - District 24 Dale Mitchell

Michigan Batbusters 18/U MI
18Gold Metro Detroit ASA

OC Batbusters CA
18Gold Southern California Travel Teams

Here's a better plan...

...try the linear removal of your head out of your ass! Perhaps then we'll give a rat's ass about anything you and your ass mate Lori might have to say.

Have a good 'un...

well to clear the mud even more. FTW. Batbusters really only have 3 Gold teams that are currently left after the fall.

Card/Anderson (combined during fall)
Edwards/Mitchell (combined during fall)
Graves

My point is if the OC Batbusters which has been and had success at Gold Nationals only have 1 team, why does Batbusters, Glory put 3,4,5 and even 6 Gold teams together and think they can compete with a team that pools all their Gold players together into 1 team. I don't really believe that is what the Gold division had in mind.

1. My solution any team that qualifies in the past can label it self as a Gold team or classify themselves as a gold team.

2. Promote the 16A Tournament so younger teams realize how good this tournament is.

Merry Christmas

Well, maybe this will help them a little. I still doubt that any of these three teams will be able to compete for a berth to Gold Nationals. I would venture to say that Montoya's teams could beat each of them.

I honestly think that the problem with N Texas softball is that everytime I look on the VTD, there is a posting from some newly formed team trying to set a roster. 10U-18 Gold. I believe that if parents would put aside their ego's, quit trying to make up excuses for Sally's abilities or talent level by starting new teams every day you would see the quality of teams become alot more competitive. As long as parents continue to decide that it is better to start a new team so that their DD can get the playing time they think she deserves then we will continue to see this watered down system.

Fastbitch

Grave's BB group truly is a bunch of average players that have no business playing (or calling themselves) Gold. In fact, my experience w/ him (them) has been the worst. You see, my older DD played for a BB team and graduated from a Big 12 D1 playing softball...all because of one of those crappy BB teams. 8 of her 12 teammates did the same. My younger DD just committed to one of those nasty D1's...another scrub from a BB team. 5 others from her team have also committed. God almighty....those BB teams suck!

Ken and Matt Tuggey (Southlake TD) run one of the best college showcases in Texas. Limited to 24 teams and with a registration fee of $150, I don't think anyone can accuse them of "doing it for the money". The participation of college coaches at this years' event was unheard of. My understanding is that Southlake and BB will dedicate all funds from this showcase to ovarian cancer reseach beginning in 2009. Not a dime will go to Ken, Matt, BB's or Southlake.

...Man, I hate those Batbusters!!!
