THE BALLFIELDS AT GLORYRANCH

by honest bob » Wed Apr 01, 2009 1:09 pm

By now most everyone has seen your joke I mean your pool & bracket game post for Mckinney this weekend. I find it hard to believe every Glory team starts pool play mid day WOW what luck & Wow adkins & adkins 14u somehow made it to different sides of the bracket.Anybody trying to do the honest thing would have set the bracket based on the 3 pool games. But not Gloryranch.................. I do not even have a girl playing this weekend, but how can you look people In the eye w/ this type of conduct???????? be sure & post on Monday how great your teams did over the weekend in your fantasy play weekend.

I would bet as good as those teams truly are they would have much rather played & let the cards fall as they may. give your teams some credit as they are good teams.

Yours truly

Mr B.,

I am assuming your talking about the 14U division. Every team has a mid-day start time on Saturday. No 14U team plays before 11am and there are only 2 teams that start brackets after 9:30 on Sunday, neither one from Glory.

And yes, most TD's tend to split up teams from the same organization in bracket play, just like they spread out top tier teams.

Of course TD's have their choice, just like Keller did last weekend when they grouped the "big name" teams together.

Also give credit to the up & comer teams too. Maybe they also want bigger competition and to play those big name teams?

Oops, I see what you are talking about now on the pool games. If it makes you feel any better, we have 2 kids that live over 2 hours away.

I stick to the rest of my story though.

I can understand your frustration with the pool play schedule, but if you are looking for a joke in all this I believe it would be that Texas Glory Adkins is playing a tournment with a bunch of 12U and 14U B teams in it.

You have to be kidding, this is supposed to be their highly talented 16U team. What good could playing in this tournament do for this team. I am sure that they will be missing a few HS players, sure would be embarassing if one of these young teams finds a way to beat them.

There is a good friendly being put on by the 95 Travelers in Waxahachie, with most of the Top 14U teams in N. Texas and some S. Texas teams. Seems this would be alot better competition for the Glory Adkins team, unless they feel they can't compete with the better teams and need to beat up on younger ones.

From what I saw a couple of weeks ago, maybe they just want to build some confidence. They looked at best like a average 14U team, minus 2 sophmores.

Perhaps they're playing in McKinney so you have something to bitch about!

Hold on a minute...

...yes, I just spoke to Dan and he said that's exactly what they're doing...

Yea - what yellow balls said! Quit worrying about how much of a scam this whole tournament is and just go out and play ball and like it! Oh, and get along with all the other NT (I guess this means N Tx ) teams out there as well, or we will keep your DD from ever getting a scholarship, because we control the entire NT softball community and we determine who is worthy and who is not.
Thank you sir, may I have another
