What's up with Team Mizuno?

I am guessing that is because it is two totally different staffs, coaches, directors, etc.

I hear that Team Mizuno Fastpitch is a totally different org. than Team Mizuno Gold, that might explain why they would be having the tryouts in the Plano/Frisco area.

same Sluggers group/staff.. assist has daughter on "gold" team. head coach of "gold" has younger aged, 10U, it's an attempt at building an org and "a pipeline" and perception is best talent clustered in North Dallas area. not a good scene in GP with former team/staff and the old guard there...

deezsbnutz, no one on the Team Mizuno Gold coaching staff has anything to do with the new Team Mizuno Fastpitch. Team Mizuno Gold is expanding to 14U and 16U from what I saw on VTD, but Team Mizuno Fastpitch will be trying to generate 10U thru 16U teams between now and during the year in 2010, and again this is what I have heard. Also from what I gather on the VTD site Team Mizuno Fastpitch will be having tryouts for there 10U and 12U teams the weekend of the 21st. I have not seen any tryout information for Team Mizuno Gold have you?

I guess I will just have to make it out to the tryout and find out first hand what this Team Mizuno Fastpitch is all about.

I heard Coach Whines is coaching the 99 team and tryouts will be at highpoint park in Plano but practices will likely be held in Flower Mound. Also heard that the 00 Plano Rush is pretty much going to be the 00 team.

I love it when there is so much curiousity involved with new teams. Why is that? I seriously doubt that '00 Plano Rush has anything to do with it as they have not been together for some time now and I think there old coach is in a better place now.

As for Coach Whines, who knows? I haven't heard anything to that rumor!

Maybe they are trying to find out info on the team for their DD to tryout? The VTD postings they have put out are pretty vague.\

Just do what I did and send an email asking some questions. I look forward to meeting there coaches and seeing what they have to offer.

What did they say?

They said that they would probably hold the tryout at Archgate Park and to be waching on VTD for tryout times and possible other announcments. Did not get into all the names and who would be coaching what teams, they just informed me that the members of the coaching staff has excellent experience with 40 plus years of playing, coaching and instructional experience at a high level. Sounds legite to me, but what do I know I am just trying to find the best fit and the best coaching for my DD.

It's interesting back on the 1st they posted tryouts for 97-01. Now they are eliminating 01.
I sent an e-mail regarding interest and no reply.
