Not sure what you are trying to infer from this comment/question. 93players is not part of the Rebels (no idea who they are with) but I am. While all teams can play on and off from game to game, ours included, scoreboard usually takes care of it (at least until the next game when the other team takes the win ;) ). In our case, on the list above, we have played all but two of those teams this Fall and beat each one. Not always in the prettiest way but they were wins. At least as much as these showcase games could be considered wins/losses that is. So glad this part of the season is over :D Can't wait to play some games that REALLY matter.

Have to agree. Watched some of the 16u RM and saw a lot of big girls make big mistakes. Would have expected better games. Hope Jonathan scraps the 16U showcase and goes back to a double elimination tournament with some games that really matter.

With only 5 or 6 college coaches showing up - it shouldn't be advertised as a showcase - what a waste of time and money. A double elimination would be much better.

While I totally agree that it should have stayed an elimination tournament and not a showcase. There were actually several schools represented there, many more than what was listed on the website, thankfully.

Is it really a surprise that the competition was less than expected. You're seeing a bunch of Gold rejects, right? If they were at the Gold level they would be playing there. We saw what we were supposed to see. 16U kids playing ball. No, they were not stellar, but they were not supposed to be. Heck even in the 18U RM, some of the teams were horrendous. This tournament provided an avenue for these kids to have an audience. Should it be classified as a "SHOWCASE", NO.

I have seen a trend at these exposures over the last few years and I saw this at the RMD. When is it time for the coaches to stop acting like fools on the field and while coaching the bases. At some point these coaches have to realize that its not about them, its about the kids. One Austin Area coach has no respect for the game and he shows zero respect for his opponents. This coach has been acting like a fool since 10U while coaching with another team.

Stop showing out and get your kids into college. College coaches are not at tournament to see the coach.

Bitter???? What does this have to do with the topic.

Has anyone on here been to 16u Nationals? College Coaches everywhere. You don't need to be on a named "Gold" team to be seen. Yes, if you are a 16u player and can get on a Impact, Glory, Elite, Blaze, Bombers, Power....etc..."Powerhouse" Gold team.....sure you'll improve your chances. I really doubt Baylor, A&M, Louisana Tech, OSU, Houston were at 16RMD to waste time. I bet some 18u "GOLD" teams played the weekend before and didn't have those schools watching them? Texas may not be strong at 16u because there are some many pretend Gold teams with quality 16u kids that might have a better chance of being looked at playing on a 16u team.

Last year at 16u Nationals.....several players had already committed to major schools like Washington, FSU.....etc. It can happen. Do your work contacting the coaches....stay on them to come watch....and they will. Saw it this weekend.

Not Bitter at all ! ! I thought this topic was RMD 16U College Exposure. This went on at the RMD and has been going on forever, and this guy sticks out. I did not name any names or teams. I get tired of playing against coaches that scream and yell and up stage the game. JMO...

Only 6 coaches were signed in on Saturday afternoon. The only reason teams bothered to attend this event was to insure they would be approved to play next year.
