I agree with liveintx in that it is a mockery but not for the reasons he mentioned. (Nor do I condone calling 11 and 12 year old girls "jerks") How or where they get their players is no more of a mockery to organized sports than all of the ridiculous team hopping and daddy ball organizations that pop up every five minutes in North Texas. I think even the notion that they get players in some unorthodox fashion makes them the bad guys is more than likely sour grapes from someone who was on the losing end of a beating. They are a mockery because they abuse internet forums, create silly websites, and use underlying statements to poke fun at "lesser" affiliations.

It does look like there is a tourney scheduled for that weekend and there is nine teams signed up, so I don't know what Joe Russell is campaigning for?

someone posted before about him having ties with IFA or TFS or something. he may also be campaigning for the umpires out there. more teams = more bracket games. his "teams" coach already came on here and said he was full of it.

Isn't this "team" still looking for "players" on VTD? I believe Mr. Russell has stated that this is a quality team, but I'm not sure how that can be when they seem to only be a team of pick-up players. When this "team" first began everyone seemed to really get pulled into the hype. Now they just seem like a big joke. Sorry Dallas Donkeys but you seem to have JoeRussell56 to blame for that. I feel sorry for his DD. Sad when a grown man goes on here and basically calls out 12 yr old girls. I hope you act better with your dd's "real" team. That's Lewisville Force right?

The actions of 1 person, whether it be fair or not, are enough to bring down a whole organization and based on that; I would be of the opinion that this whole Donkeys thing is a classless joke. They are a complete pick-up team and making a mockery of organized softball. Please keep having your fun looking like a complete tool on hb.com. Regardless of how you fare in McKinney, your team is a complete joke and shame on your for making your girls look like a bunch of jerks also.
