I would have to agree that if ASA could fix their websites, and make them more user friendly, it would go a long way toward filling up their tourneys, etc. As of right now, it's my belief that for the most part ASA is trying to fix SOME of their problems, but really needs to do a faster job of rectifying their problems before they suffer mass defections to VTD, Premier, etc. As far as the deep pockets, this happens no matter what the affiliation. Heck all you have to do to qualify for USFA in PCB, is to play in a USFA tourney. So that isn't a problem unique to ASA in my opinion! Honcho Out!

BTW, to kind of illustrate this, the premier 16U qualifier in Houston had 6-7 teams and 4 were offered berths to PGF in Huntington Beach. VTD has Open Nats where all you have to do basically is have a team that has played once! and even their closed nats is not a difficult process! Convenient to bash ASA(in some ways deservedly)! My point is if people are going to bash ASA, then make sure your houses are in order first!

My point is suffer mass defections of all teams, even the one's that are going for championship play. If VTD gets their act together, or premier keeps on tweaking their product the right way, then it could kill the championship levels that ASA still has. They need to stop being REACTIONARY and start being PROACTIVE!

6 gg is gonna give my DD alot of playing time. May even result in making her a better player. By the end of the season, VTD could have some more finely tuned teams in their Championship play. Maybe could give Mendez and Poole a run for their money...
