Uuuuhhh no, most teams wait to sign up until they get a handle on the VB schedule, UIL band competition schedule, HS football schedule, Cheerleading concession stand schedule, and any number of about 1 million other fall diversions,....at which time they pick up players to cobble together a roster so the kids who want to play (or can play) are able to. I fail to see the issue........Let them play, why does it matter how many pick ups they have? it ain't nationals.
BallFirst wrote:I am talking about teams that should not even be classified as a Team for the following reasons:
1. They do not have 9 players to fill a roster period.
2. They cannot a field a team of there own so they pickup to complete a roster.
3. It is the only way their DD will have a team (usually they have been kicked off of all the others).
Picking up 1 to 3 pickups is acceptable when conflicts arise but good God 5 pickups. Combine with the other team that only has 5 and then play.
