Wow! Please don't take this as sarcasm, because I am dead serious here.

For all of your replies... THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

Everyone around my circle(a few IN my circle) who finds a kid who can hit, brags about the kid who can hit, marvels over the kid who can hit...

what's the first thing they do once they get a chance to start coaching this kid??? Changes the kids batting stance... breaks the kid... and then complains about how bad the kid is doing!

(It's now apparent I need a new circle)

I've seen it happen to maybe a half dozen kids over the last 18 months. Subtle improvements ok... drastic changes...uh. If a kid is said to have talent, does it really have to be said out loud? Let her be.

You guys crack me up. Most of your collge coaches will change your DD swing as soon as they arive on THERE field. You know the one your DD is getting paid to play on. After 4 yrs of watching mine play and seeing all the freshman come in. I can tell you this.. They all hit a ton in High school. They all have incredible skills but.... The coaches pay the bills and they are the ones that lose there jobs if they don't win. So what ever they want your DD to do is what she should do. Your job as a Daddy coach is over Bro...

My kid had only hit 3 HR's in her carreer before going to UTSA. I taught her what i thought was a good swing. But it was a baseball swing. They taught her to lift the ball out of the park. She hit 8 her first yur and 7 the second, in her first game she hit one atleast 230. Her longest was about 270 against Sam H.. I saw girls hit it over 300 ft'. I never dreamed she had that type of power.
Now the one problem with that swing is it is real hard on there backs. The torgue of the swing is hard an caused my kid to have back issue's. And several of the other players to. So they really need to work on there abs and back muscles.

If this guy is truely a college coach then he doesn't need for your DD to be swinging there swing. He should be able to see the patential in the player. As they say we will teach them how to hit HR because thats what 60% of the game is at that leval.

Oh and every yr we heard the same speach and I quote. " If you think you can coach better go get a degree and get a job as a softball coach. Because i don't want to hear your ideas. This is my team and we do it my way!" lmao ;)

Maybe you weren't as good a coach as you thought you were or maybe it's because your DD work hard everyday instead of just one or two days a week . . . doesn't have anything to do with a baseball swing, which by the way, is what UTSA teaches. . . Just saying. :)

Wow Glad you can read. What I was saying Dumb@$%^& is that I have never said I was a good hitting coach lol. and If you new me I would have told you that to your face. The other part is she worked hard went to several deferent hitting coaches. Hit well enough to have her school paid for. Is your DD there yet. for her sake i hope she gets to play at that leval.

And i can give you Coach Cooks number or e-mail and you can tell her she teaches a baseball swing lol...
