I know you guys over in Central Texas don't travel much, but neither of the teams you have named have ANY chance of qualifying for 18u Gold this year or next. There is some superb talent on these teams, but neither has the depth of talent to get to OKC. You clearly have not seen the Glory Gold, Storm, Aces, Hawks, Heat, Impact Gold, Eclipse. Dream the dream, but don't be booking any hotel rooms.

While I'll agree the poster has selected a group of elite 18u Gold teams that represent the best in Texas, I would be careful to underestimate the growth of central Texas Softball. Both the Stix Gold and Blaze Gold finished 9th at Gold Regionals, one spot out of qualification. I don't think either the Blaze coach or Stix coach would argue their teams deserve the respect of Impact Gold or Glory Gold have but at the same time, compared to four years ago when the Hearts & Storm were the only game in town, CT has come a long way and it is only a matter of time, whether that is 2008, 2009, or beyond. Secondly, the only thing the top 18u CT teams do is travel...look at their schedules;Colorado, Oklahoma, Florida, Louisiana, Houston, Spring, Plano, Ft. Worth. Lastly what I think is the most humorous about your post is the elitist attitude, doesn't it make sense that we want ALL parts of Texas to be strong!

You obviously were not at the Gold Qualifier in Beaumont, TX last year where the Texas Stix were playing the Texas Storm for the last bid to Nationals and lost in a close game giving the Texas Storm a good run for their money.
