14U national Qualifier - who is your favorite to win

by yellow ball » Tue Jun 03, 2008 11:29 pm

Don't know why Mendez name keeps showing up, they got lucky at the HOF. Should not place, they are only a 94 team. To many 93 teams in this tournament for them to go far. IMO

Come on... That '94 Fusion team is loaded with talent! Gotta be with 15 girls there (lol). And now that they have straightend out their coaching staff, they are definately on the right track. As far as luck, there were 36 good teams in that HOF Qualifier and on any given sunday could have gone either way in a lot of matchups. They (Fusion -Mendez) did their job and earned their place, just like the other 35 teams that played. So luck had nothing to do with it.
Again for the National Qualifier there is 16 good teams and should be another fun tournament! so I'm just gonna sit back and watch the girls play, I'm sure they all will do their best.

tough row to hoe......but all you can do is play who is in front of you.....I said before the HOF qual. that I thought some teams might overlook us.....we beat some teams that NO ONE(except our fusion family) thought we could beat.......No we have posts saying we got lucky, I hope Freedom, Splash, and all those other teams continue to think that way. I like being the underdog....hopefully we can continue to fly under the radar, and all I hope for is that we can continue to compete and grow. But, to all of you other teams in this tourney......BEWARE OF OUR NEW CONSPIRACY

The two best teams????? Good luck to ya'll.....By the way, how about a friendly wager.....If ya'll don't finish in the Top 2, you have to switch to nerf balls to pound the bleachers with. If you do finish in the top 2, I'll buy you 2 buckets of balls....

The two best teams playing each other in the 1st bracket?

LOL

Why not "make" the 2 best teams play in this National Qualifier.... afterall - that's is the way the Hall of Fame Qualifier played out!

Good luck to all the teams - I look forward to the updates (and the excuses).

Two best teams? That's awfully bold since you went 2-2 at HOF, 4 of these teams finished higher than BB, and half of this field finished equal or better. You got guts, I like that.

And I doubt that complaint was really geared towards playing 2 of your former players. You got stuck playing the best team in the field with 10 or so other players that can whoop that a$$. We're just all glad it wasn't us. :D

BBlover, you should have came to the draw and pulled your own number and seen for yourself just how fair the 'public blind draw' really was. It was open to the public as stated on the tournament page.

If your 2 of the best teams out there, why you complaining about a blind draw? Play the other best team and see where you really stand 1 or 2.

I could not agree more.....

And this is coming from a Dad whos DD's team faced Fusion (Sidwell) in G1 of the Hall of Fame Qualifer - and lost.

We really enjoy the compitition / effort / sportsmanship / fan turn out.

Our girls / coaches / parents ended up really liking Fusion and the girls talked often throughout the tournament. My daughter got a few phone numbers and has texted a few Fusion players - wishing them luck this weekend!

We love playing a BIG dog right out of the gate!

This is a Heybucket Apology, from Batbusters (Montoya) for BBlovers recent comments on this website. The views expressed by this person in no way represent the feelings of our Batbuster team, players, parents or coaches.

We want only the best for our current AND former players. We love you all and wish you only the best, no matter who you play for. Play hard and leave it all on the field!!!

We don't know who BBlover is, but please stop commenting on behalf of the Batbuster team because those are not the opinions of our team's parents or players. Bailee is and will continue to be friends with our former teammates for many years to come.

Good luck to everyone this weekend!!!!!!!!
