Looks good Smack, with the top teams signing up for this tournament there are some nail biters in store for sure.
I hope they try and get these fields ready correctly, last time we played on them they were like hard clay with a light coating of dust

I think the 96 Bandits of San Antonio should have played in this one for sure, they are definetly the top 96 team out of SA but alas they are playing 14u.

oh well I still like the way this tournament is forming the way it should, the OK HOF should only bring out the 2 best teams of every state and Texas will be represented well!

Oklahoma HOF only has 3 teams signed up, I wonder if they will even play it.

I can't imagine anyone else out there that could sign up that would be a difference maker. There are 22 teams now in Texas.

OK has 3 teams so far and I think they get 3 births to HOF.

Register ASA says Texas also gets 3 berths, I better check with the ASA website but pretty sure it's accurate.

I can bite my tongue no longer.

D/FW is soooo overrated. Yes, in the early age groups their teams have some success. But once they get to 12U and older, the best TEAMS are from Houston. I've read some D/FW posters talk about how over-hyped the 97 Kruzers or Longhorns are. They are wrong, the most over-hyped team in Tx is the Diamonds. What have they done in the past 2 years? Answer: nuthin! They want to brag about playing up in 14U and 16U tournaments only to not place in these tournaments. What's the point? To give you a built in excuse for when you go 3-3 and finish in a tie for 9th place? I've heard from friends in the D/FW grapevine that they are a shell of what they once were and consistently lose to inferior teams. Evidently they have had turmoil on the team and have lost several players in the past few years. It seems to me that if they truly were that good that we would see them more down here in Houston showing off their dominance. They probably know what would happen if they did show up for one of our good tournaments. Fusion is the top team in North Tx.

As far as the HOF goes, I am going on record now as saying they will not finish in the top 3. No North Tx team will, however they will not be the highest finishing team from D/FW. I also get tired of the Pepper heads and their falsely inflated egos. They are the 2nd most over-rated team in Tx. I GUARANTEE they will not finish top 3.

For the record, here is my top 3 in no particular order:

Bandits
Thunder
team from Central Tx - either Bombers or Austin Finest

The czar has spoken!
