10u Bomber

Good coaching overcomes bad umpirs. That is the name of the game. Loading up with talant cant always sucure a win, sometimes you have to be a coach & make some softball move's to get the job done. The larger tourny's seperate the real teams from the talent chasers.

Hi folks. Can't wait to see how this tournament plays out! When is it?

(btw, while I understand spelling isn't always an imperative when engrossed in a discussion of hard-nosed 10U fastpitch, dominate pitchers, and umpir conspiracies, I'd like to point out an exciting feature incorporated by the resident geniuses at Heybucket central - when you are typing in "Post a Reply", if a word is underlined in red, then it is misspelled. If you right-click on the word, a drop list of possible properly spelled words appears.)

(Oh, and sometimes "The Elements of Style" might come in handy for things like, say, using an apostrophe to indicate omissions and possessives of nouns and pronouns.)

But nevermind all that silliness - now when is this 10u Bomber tourney? Is there a link to website?
Don't worry about tomorrow. You did that yesterday.

Over the years, we have had more than our share of good umps at bombers but there was one that must have crawled out from under one of the rocks. While I have been warned at every field in Texas (and a few other states), the only place I have been ejected was at the Bomber fields.

Being an older guy, I am a little hard of hearing. Apparently the blue said, "One more word and you're out of here !' I said 'Hows that?'

The umpires at the Deer Park tournament this weekend were as bad as I have seen in some time. The most inconsistent calls behind the plate & horrible on the bags they should have stayed at the 8u level, 10u was to fast of game for those old boys.

Glory did lose their number one pitcher - she went to batbusters - stayed there for a while...then left just like she did Glory - shes good,,,but hittable...just like the rest of the 10U pitchers! they are 10 for Christs sake! her dad is abusive to her and sits right behind home plate and screams at her after every single pitch - good or bad - then mouths off about the coaches calls on the pitches and GOD FORBID the infield defense should mess up - he really loses it then!
i heard that she is going to Rip 98 now...and she/and her father will do the same thing there...they have a rep for moving around...
that little girl will be burned out due to her father by the time she is 12....
the Rip pitcher - shes good...but nothin' to brag about - shes just big - and intimidates alot of the smaller hitters...she throws right across the plate and when someone gets ahold of it, they usually send it to the outfield and she starts crying...
but again...they are 10 year old girls...and they are not expected to be collegiate players at this age...
alot of these parents need to back off - because those with true talent will come thru in the end with or without your screaming and yelling!
