A Comprehensive listing of all D I Softball schools

by sbcoach » Fri Mar 13, 2009 5:44 pm

I commend BD for his efforts and the time it must of took to compile this information, and I can't fault a person for trying to make an extra buck....especially these days.

The fact still remains that this information is easily obtained at no cost if you just do a little research. It takes all of few minutes to get a current listing for colleges across the country and then it doesn't take any time to obtain the coach's email address.

OR

If you go to the websites or even email the general manager of an established softball organization with a real reputation of signing their seniors every year, I'm sure a lot of them are willing and able to provide you with the right links or even an email list of college coaches across the country. Anywhere from Junior Colleges to Division I....again at no cost.

BUT if you want to pay $15.00 to obtain that same information, then I'm not going to hold that against you. It's everyone's choice to make on their own.

The bottom line is that just because you obtain this list...don't think it makes it any easier. Parents are still required to put in a number of hours with the recruiting process. There's no way around that issue.

Good Luck BD and happy selling!!!

If you don't feel having one centalized data base to 255 College HC's names and email addresses in one spot... without having to go out to each seperate website - is a tremendous advantage - I would respectfully disagree... but to each their own.

All I am trying to do is help the parents / kids identify and make contact with the coaches / schools. If you don't want the info - please just move along and find another thread that interests you.

I have never implied that this list wasn't available piecemeal all over the internet - heck - that's how I put this list together (or you could buy the booklet they offered at Ronald McDonald for $35).... but again - this is all in one place.

To each his own.

Happy hunting!

hey BD just wanted to say again how much I appreciate the info. I agree it is easily obtained info. all I had to do was call Brookes mom then Brookes dad sent it to me never had to look up a single college just know my email password. Seriously I think it is great info and easy to keep up to date year after year with a little work and I know this was more than a little work for BD.

I also agree that having this information all under one location is a valuable asset. But I just want to make sure that parents know there are websites out there, such as the one that
SBNut mentioned, that already have this information. Takes 30 seconds to click on the website and obtain the necessary information.

There are a lot parents who are not as informed as they should be. But there are a lot of established softball organizations who provide such information to the student athletes on their websites. Those who are truly trying to help the parent/student athletes have already taken the time to compile this information and make it available free of charge.

Click on the link that SBNut listed and you have a list of D1 thru NAIA colleges, college coach's names, college coach's emails, college contact phone numbers, college location, college team names i.e. Rebels, Aggies, Longhorns, Bears, etc. ---All under one link (along with some other valuable links to the recruiting process)

Once on the link, just filter the headings. It takes about 2 minutes to get this done...and it does not cost anything to do so.

Again, just tyring to let the parents out there know that these websites do exist and are available free of charge.
