I don't agree with the pre-season rankings. I believe that Flower Mound Marcus will struggle since their pitcher went to TWU. I wouldn't read too much into them. Example: After Keller was runner-up in the State Finals 2 years ago, they were ranked #2 behind Garland. How was this justified since they lost one of the most dominant pitchers in the state of Texas last year to Baylor. Most of us Softball freaks all know what happened in the play-offs to Keller by FM Marcus.

I would agree with you about the preseason polls. I think the majority of us know that they are pretty much based on last years results. Every year players come and go and there are always a few suprises.

Just gives us something to cuss and discuss, until the real softball season hits full stride.

Don't count that Flower Mound Marcus team out. They scrimmaged Garland to a stand still this week and play them two more times before district. They've got a good pitcher to take over the reigns. Another pre-season number one that is questionable is Mckinney North.

Don't forget Magnolia West. They are starting their 1st year of JV Softball and will be a force to be reckoned with. They have a mixture of Sophmore and Freshmen this year. Keep your eyes on this all around team.
