10 and under pitchers

Most of these 10u will be lucky to make it to Jr high and still be pitching, let alone High School

A few observations:

1. Avoid playing 12U during the last month before nationals. Focus on 35 feet rather than moving back and forth between 35 and 40.

2. Believe it or not the big "wash out" year is 12U. Many good 10U pitchers cannot make the transition to the bigger ball and longer distance.

3. Of the 4 pitchers on our 10U team, two no longer play softball and only one is considered and elite pitcher (five years later).

4. Interestingly, Over half of the girls on our gold team pitched and played shortstop on their 10U team.
