While everyone is talking about '97 Teams...............

Once again, another transparent case of "any publicity is good publicity" mentality from some parent on TRHKA. Honestly, are we really expected to take you seriously when you claim to have watched them a few times and yet are not really convinced if they are good or not? If after watching them play, and taking into account they qualified and played in the ASA HOF tournament, and oh by the way just happened to beat one of the Top 5 teams from SoCal, you are not able to form your own opinion of this team, then you are either very dumb or very desperate for attention.
what does a bald man put on his driver's license for hair color?

While at the H.O.F I happen to return and sit down to watch the Redhots vs Firecrackers game..The Firecrackers were not ready for this explosive "little" team and got punched in the mouth in the first inning 3-0. The Firecrackers battled back and should have won the game, but lost 3-2. Then later in the bracket the Redhots lost to a very good Tx Bandits 1-0 to go to the losers bracket...So while they are small, have hummer juke box, a red mo-hawk coach and may not have dominating pitching they do play very well as a team, and the do several things the right way.. The haos and different ways about this team is what makes them tick..Some teams can't handle that type of pressure and some can...

I could see this team upsetting some teams next month...

Haven't you ever heard the phrase
"It's not the size of the Oompa Loompa in the fight. It's the size of the fight in the Oompa Loompa"

Obviously Dynomite doesn't know a good team when they see one. I have been watching this team every other year since they were in 6U and they have always put a strong competitive team on the field.

They may be a little quirky but that is what makes them who they are. I know that when we play against them they are always playing great softball and are also having a good time. It's like a traveling softball party! Sometime coaches and parents forget that this sport is suppose to be fun to.

If my daughter was a 97 player that is where I would want her to be...

Good Luck to the Red Hots at Nationals we will see you there....you might be little but you play BIG!!!

all I remember about 6u is if the kid didnt hit the coach's pitches after 3 swings, she got to hit off a T.
all the coaches were out on the field keeping the little cuties focused.
part of the coaches' jobs were making sure the kids ran to 1st base, not third.
at our field, there were gophers, and if one popped out of its hole, the kid made that her focus.
flowers and birds caught their attention when they were out in the field also.
and on, and on...
but...i vaguely remember bragging to someone that my little 5 year old phenom had backhanded a shot in the 5-6 hole and gunned the runner at 1st....
*sigh* another sign that the apocalypse is upon us...
