why, you hanging around trailer parks checking out the talent when youre not hanging around the ballfields?

monkeysmom wrote:BOOM BOX SUPPORTERS UNITE!!!! Softball is about fun, teamwork and love of the game. I can't think of one sport, college or professional that does not have music included as a part of the enjoyment. If anyone ever asked one of our girls to turn it down or off, they did it. If someone was fuming on another field and didn't say anthing about it then shame on them. Sounds to me like most of the posts were about someone being irritated at the volume or music choice. Adults need to get over themselves...its not about us! I don't like country music but I don't get upset or offended when someone plays it around me loudly or otherwise. For that matter, I don't like to listen to screaming and crying siblings either but when you are in public you have to deal with those little irritations.

Yeah, well, you'll have to excuse me...I'm well known on here for my lack of facility with the language. I look forward to your assistance with that.

The content of the music alone on the night I was at the ballpark was suggestive enough with sexual innuendo to make most grown adults blush. And it was all kinds of music. Rock, pop, country and western, and rap/hip hop.
The TD's don't have time to monitor everyone's playlist for content in its clear the adults who control the situations have little regard for their content they put on these boxes. As I looked around the ballfields I felt like I was in an episode of pimp my ride.![]()
In other words it was a contest of how can I make my bigger better and louder than anyone else. When I see a man wheeling out a 5 foot stack of speakers and stereo equipment on rollers blaring through the ballpark is he leaving while other teams are playing games. The only conclusion one can come to is that that individuals trying to draw attention to himself and his 5 foot tall boombox.
So when you find out your daughter is downloaded some of the songs on her iPod that she heard at the ballpark only they were the unedited versions, what is it you're going to say then when she loses her temper on the ballfields and starts dropping f -bombs all over the place. Which she learned from the music she was listening to on her iPod.
It may not happen when shes 10 but guess what happens when she is 14.
