Hello all, my DD is a pretty important piece in the puzzle for the Team Mizuno 99's, I have observed all the talk about this topic...
Team Mizuno is, and will be a wonderful place for her to be...they are doind all of the good things that any and all of the major organizations in the area are doind, such as hiring paid instructors to provide strentgh and agility programs in the offseason, hosting winter clinics by Div. I college coaches, fundraising that has and will continue to provide the girls with amle monies to travel to play in the toughest tournaments that will expose them to the best competition, holding tryouts and establishing feeder teams for the national teams, along with providing a very competitive, demanding, athletic, and educational atmosphere in their practices and workouts they put the girls through. Now days, the softball population is expanding greatly. There are not just going to be enough spots on the "so-called" top tier major organizations in the softball world. The teams, as well as interest in playing the sport are growing at a wonderful rate. this is great for our DD's because it brings more competition, and spotlight to the sport that our DD's are playing. This, in turn, creates a need for MORE organizations to get going so that all of these wonderful young ladies will have a place to perfect their craft to keep them out of troubl while growing up, and hopefully take them to where they are all trying to get in the first place, COLLEGE! Where they can get an education and be successful in life, and hopefully turn out better than us knuckleheads. The greater interest in our DD's sport, along with all of the players that see softball as something that will be a part of their childhood should excite everyone. If you have only 5 or 6 "so called" top org.'s to play for, you can only roster so many of these young ladies who love the sport, and are trying to have a goal in life, and do something that will keep them on the right track. from the way some people on here are sounding, it's as if, you don't play for one of the "so-called" top org.'s, then your DD should just give it up. That's just flawed thinking, and a bad way to portray this softball world that we are all involved in. We should all be very excited about where the sport is, and will be going if interest conitnues to mount, and more and more org.'s build and develop lots more young ladies, because that will be 12-13 more players per team, that won't (hopefully) get pregnant at sixteen, be on drugs, or be running away from home when they get to be 16 yrs. old. This great outlet for them provides you and them a way to connect and grow together as parents and as a family, along with teaching them fundamentals for life. Things like how to take defeats and work through them, how to handle successes, how to try to get better at something and takes that person's place, and how to take instruction, and criticism for things that need to be improves upon. These are all "LIFE LESSONS" that these young ladies need. So, once again, if your going to keep bashing people for trying to create a better life for our youth, then your are flawed. Look at all of the wonderful things this sport will do for these young ladies, and lets support them. Thank you for taking the time to read my post.
