Toughest winners bracket games IMO in order of game number. Games 1,5,15,16,33,36,46,51
Toughest bracket group are by far the top 6 and bottom 6

I REALLY have to agree to disagree with some of you Houston people. You guys REALLY dont know much about the competition. In my own humble opinion, in no way is Game 2 the toughest first round game. Let's get honest about all of this. If the economy was not as bad as it is right now, 1/2 of the Houston teams competing this weekend would not even be at HOF. If you want to get down to brass tacks, neither Fury or the Bandits "earned" their way into the tournament. Now, you have them going all the way to the ship against the Grapettes?!?!?! I do strongly agree with you, however, about the bottom 6 teams being the strongest bracket group. I am torn between the first 6 and the third 6 as to which bracket group is the next strongest. I think I might lean towards the 3rd bracket group just because of the strength of a few teams. The bottom half of the bracket is definitely stronger than the top half. Assuming all teams perform at their level of play, in my opinion, the Top 4 teams in this tournament are the Comets, Firecrackers, Diamonds & Impact. Games 1, 2, 6 & 7 should all be tough opening round games. Again, these are just my opinions, but I like to think they are based on a modicum of intelligence and objectivity.

Sorry coasterhead but im not from Houston or even Texas for that matter. For the most part i would have to agree with your top four teams in this tournament but i willing to bet that all four will not place in the top four. I have done alot of research on as many teams that i can find and i would have to say that if any team takes another lightly they will find them selfs in the losers bracket. There some very good teams in this tournament that you might not know about.

REALLY - do me a favor and heed the advice of your own avatar. As far as my picks or bracket goes, try looking on page 18 of this post or try looking under the general fastpitch discussion board you like to frequent. Pete you are absolutely correct. The reality is there may be one or two teams out of the whole bunch that might be considered weaker than all of the rest. Having said that, there are no guarantees and regardless if you are the Comets or Firecrackers, if you dont show up with your A game then you probably will not make it very far in this tournament.

Love the cliche post the next thing you'll say is "any one of these teams on any given sunday" I guess the economic woes of the country don't affect Texas is that why we can field so many more teams? I'm going to end on this subject with this post Coaster until Monday when the results are in. Good luck to all the girls they've worked hard to achieve this level and above all parents and players alike be safe driving and playing... Texas will walk away with 5 of the 8 berths. It's all in the draw if you evaluate the match ups rather then who you like you'll see it.

Fury
Grapettes
Peppers
Nemesis
Firecrackers
Diamonds
Stars
Banidts
