1. Dallas ASA will have it's own website in a couple of weeks to help navigate our local tournaments and have updates on important events and league updates.
2. We will have ASA Sanctioned Tournaments along with Sanctioned 1 Day Events and Coaches Workshops.
3. Active Deputies for each age division, so they can familirize themselfes with each team and their players.
4. Me or one of my deputies will be happy to walk you through the registration process and help you navigate through the new website. Just like anything new it is hard to know how to use it unless you know how.
Coaches feel free to call me or email me about any question you may have concerning ASA.

Why the campaign against VTD?
softballfan98 wrote:My intention will be to drive down to Burleson, about an hour plus from where I live in North Texas to listen to VTD. I would like to see ASA come up with the same thing.
My girls want to play ball, and frankly we don't care who sanctions what! However, as someone earlier posted, certain groups control fields, while others have a strangle hold on umpires. Houston and Cali have found a way to circumvent the dictators that probably once ruled there area too. I am looking for answers - I want to register my team to play where tournaments will make and umpires with some experience will call the games. I want to pay for insurance once and be covered, as I always have in the past. I want the people in control of our game in this area TO WAKE UP!! Realize it is not about the kings and their little kingdoms, but about the "little girls" the "BIG GIRLS" and everyone in between. Whether it is a college showcase, a local tournament, a friendly, or NATIONALS.
Someone, GIVE US STRAIGHTFORWARD INFORMED ANSWERS. PLEASE!!!!

THAT is funny Joe. YOU are asking someone why THEY campaign against VTD while YOU have campaigned against ASA for months!!! If VTD is all that, why don't you just shut up and let it speak for itself?

Oh really??? I think you're letting your ASA homerism cloud your good judgement. Just last year, we attended showcases hosted by USSSA and Triple Crown...packed full of D1 coaches. I don't recall any of them looking for or asking about sanctioning before they showed up. Presumably they'll all stay away from Premier's event this year too...cause it ain't ASA

Have you ever been to ASA 16U Nationals or any ASA Gold Qualifiers? If you where a college coach would you rather see prospective players playing in a glorified scrimmage or playing in the intense spirit of competition? Joe you are clueless if you think going to showcases is the ticket to college, those showcases are just one piece of the process. You have an axe to grind with ASA or anyone who disagrees with you, but there is no denying the vital role that ASA championship play is in the recruiting process.
Again good luck at VTD, USSSA, Triple Crown Nationals Nationals let us all know how many college coaches you see out there and maybe we can compare notes later!
