No problem Joe; I understand what you meant. No rejects around the Impact club. One of the kids who stayed, and didn't jump ship is committed to Boston College. I heard she chose to play on the 2nd team, rather than get bumped to the other team. Pretty classy move.

OK, just so I'm clear, The correct designation is "1st Team" and "2nd Team"?

To imply that there is not a clear pecking order in any of these teams that have more than one team is silly. You can call them 1st team and 2nd team, A team and B team or whatever you want, but in all cases one team is selected first and then the other is selected. I don't know of any organization that is holding a draft type selection process with their two teams.

That's true. Not since the end of the summer and the "other team" was dropped. No, I am not talking about any of the players either!

And, according to most that are around the Impact club, they are the greatest in all aspects of the game. I cannot wait to hear people complaining in the summer as to why their kids are not getting to play. I can almost gaurantee you it will be the people that think Impact Gold is the place to be, when they can play for other teams and actually get playing time.

IMHO of course.

It depends on what you want out of a Gold team. If you want to get recruited--Impact will get you seen multiple times by top coaches. If you want to play in meaningful games at nationals--the Impact is usually in the hunt at the end. No Texas gold organization has had a better track record over the last 3 or 4 years.

If you want to play for the No. 1 team in games that matter--qualifiers, elimination games etc.. you have to be one of the best 9 or 10 players. This is not a developmental team. If you are not getting to play as much as you would like--get better or play somewhere else. At least a couple of their players from last year chose not to return. They will likely play more for their new teams.

I won't even bother trying to figure out what the heck you are talking about.
What is so classy? Not quitting. What can't you figure out?

There were actually two kids that did not quit the team, so both girls were pretty classy to hang in there.

You see, even I got caught doing it...Hard not to. The truth is, there are two teams. Sort of getting funny at this point. You see it a lot like with the TX Storm. Not sure what they call their teams; besides Storm Wymer and Storm Newsome.

So this should end this discussion. The Impact have two teams and they are called:

Impact Gold KC and Impact Gold KC. ;)

I love that MaryAnn.
BTW, seems to be a little shake up going on with Impact. I am seeing a lot of their players on the Aces roster. Hmmmmm. Maybe things are not so quiet over there.
