2. Bosqueville
3. Eula
4. Elkhart Slocum
5. Maud
6. Thorndale
7. Windthorst
8. Sabine Pass
9. Alto
10. Iola
Comments: Class 1A teams have varied results with scrimmages due to multi-sport athletes but Sabine Pass looks very good while Shiner and both Bosqueville and Eula have good hitting.
Class 2A
1. Kirbyville
2. East Bernard
3. Coahoma
4. Danbury
5.. Big Sandy Harmony
6. Sadler S&S Consolidated
7. Poth
8. Clyde
9. Deweyville
10. Woden
Comments: Kirbyville is really strong while overall 2A is well balanced. Watch Deweyville, Woden and Warren for strong performances. East Bernard was a sleeper last year but showed their strength.
Class 3A
1. Huntington
2. Needville
3. Texarkana Liberty Eylau
4. Burkburnett
5. Andrews
6. Splendora
7. Robinson
8. Celina
9. Levelland
10. Giddings
Comments: Lots of travel team pitchers make 3A a solid classification. Huntington is very strong and has showed it in scrimmages while TLE looks good and Splendora is very, very good. Two teams to watch for are LaGrange and Giddings.
Class 4A
1. Nederland
2. Waco Midway
3. Dripping Springs
4. Rockwall
5. Forney
6. Port Neches-Groves
7. Mesquite Poteet
8. Joshua
9. Lumberton
10. Barbers Hill
Comments: Scrimmages have shown Forney, Nederland, PNG and Lumberton with good ptiching and solid hitting. Joshua was perhaps the second best team in the state last year, but Aledo was in their district and of course region. Joshua is loaded and eyeing a trip of their own. Good opening day matchup has Waco Midway hosting top ranked 5A Bowie.
Class 5A
1. Austin Bowie
2. Klein Oak
3. Tomball
4. Odessa
5. Brazoswood
6. Weatherford
7. Rowlett
8. Mesquite
9. Katy
10. Pearland
Comments: Scrimmages are all over the place. Katy looked good while Tomball looks both good and trying out new talent. So hard to read. Bowie is solid with Blaire Luna after two straight trips to the final four while Klein Oak, Odessa, and Rowlett have hit the ball well in pre-season.
