As long is she is age eligible what do you care? As for USFA, we have not played at that level since 10U. In 2008, we played in local ASA tourneys, the Bomber in Seguin and the Colorado Fireworks. This year we have strengthened our team and will focus on ASA qualifiers and ASA Nationals in addition to the previously listed tourneys. One of Eddie's daughters will be age eligible for all tourneys...the other one will play with us this fall and then play in 14U tourneys with us in 2010. The rest of the team will be our 12U bunch when playing 14U.
According to your determination of who we will allow to play for our team I guess we will have to get rid of all our players for the 14U tourneys we will play in since they might be considered average playing in those tourneys as 12U eligible players. Since you seem so qualified to judge who we would decide to allow to play on our team, perhaps you would like to know that we played our first year of 12U with one player that was age eligible to play 10U, and she was a starter.
I love the conspiracy theorists on this site...must have some very empty non-fullfilled days to have to focus so hard on who plays for whom. Let me explain it for you that fall in this group of posters.
We have a number one catcher...she is a very good player. The sister of the pitcher who is on our team will give our catcher some relief so she does not have to catch every game. We also want to look at our main catcher at other positions as well. We have another good catcher on the team as well, but she can help us at multiple positions and we want to use the fall to give her some time at the other positions in addition to catching. This will make us a better overall team in the Spring which should be the goal of any team. Furthermore, we have three players that will be playing school sports, and one who plays club soccer. Allowing the older daughter to LEGALLY play with us will provide us with some flexibility during the fall.
Time to let this go...there is no basis for downplaying a team when rules are not broken.
i thought the father of these two girls already told his story so why do you feel the need to have to explain and re-explain everything? if you want this to be let go, then let it go. i know for all 12U teams, when the age eligible DD is on the mound, you are going to be in trouble. she will probably be the hardest throwing 12U kid in the area and could be playing up as she has always done. even when they do play up, she will keep them in most games with her pitching!! good luck to both of the girls and their team, i am sure you will be kicking some butt and watch out redhots and high voltage, with these two girls staying in 12U, you now have some competition!!
