Sting isnt claiming to be able to compete at ASA Nationals like Crossfire is. I know the tournaments don't mean anything, but the way you play now and the improvements you make (or dont make) will matter come ASA Nationals. To compete at ASA Nationals you have to be the best of the best. I'll ask again - what tournament has Crossfire won in the past 3 months that has had good teams in it (Red Hots, TPS, Dallas Teams)? Go to Dallas and win and then we can talk.

You opened the can of worms about Crossfire being on the level of Sweeet Gold, TPS, Elite at ASA Nationals...not me. These tournaments do matter, if you are expecting to go to Indiana and "turn it on", I think you are in for a rude awakening. You better be playing top notch ball over the next two months if you hope to compete at a National level.

I love how you talk smack and then drop the "they are only 10 and it doesn't matter" line. That's laughable. How long has it been since you last won a tourney with a good team in it?? 4 months??

But, I'll move on. Good luck, I hope Texas is well represented at Nationals, but as of now I think TPS, Sweeet Gold and Elite are our best hope for a title.

onetime wrote:Yes, Crossfire got 5th. Texas Glory and Oklahoma Gametime lost out on Saturday, but remember iceicebaby these tournaments do not matter. It is always about the end result. If you knew anything about softball, you would know even the best teams don't win all the time, but they pull it together in the end. Crossfire has actually had fun taking sometime off on Sundays and going to church and letting some other teams play. And by the way, Crossfire doesn't clean their own houses. I have enjoyed getting you so excited and frustrated about who is the best in 10U. Now it is time to move on. I really have enjoyed watching all the teams progress and strive to reach their goals in softball, as coaches and players. Keep in mind they are 10 years old and are not perfect. The players have many many more years of softball and will probably not remember or care who was the best in Houston at the 10U division. It would be nice for every team from Texas to do well at all the National Tournaments.

That speaks volumes...
