My wife and I got a chance to watch this team in Marietta. We new this team was close to blowing up! As far as the chain of commands on reterning team equipment, the player returns any and all team property to the team manager who might be the head coach on many teams, then if a team disbands that belongs to an organization, then that manager and/or head coach is responsible to get any and all team property to the head of the organization.

Reaper I agree with you on the uniforms / equipment going to the organization if the team disbands. So what about funds if any that are left in the teams account who should they go to ?. Dont know how all this was handled with the Travelers dont really care, but just asking what the correct protocol is for this type of thing.

You don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure this out.If a team disbands and they are a part of a organization, the equipment must be returned to the organization. The team manager or coach should not benefit financially by trying to sell the equipment and if there is money in the team account it should be distributed to the ex players. This is right and correct thing to do.I have been in this type of situation before and the correct thing was done with no problems.

Buzzard,
First of we didn't even have to watch the whole game. We just had to watch two innings. We were just leaving the complex and saw another California team playing and decided to watch a little bit while our daughter talked with her teammates. Standing at the back of the bleachers watching the game , we noticed what looked like one of the Travelers moms ( who after reading this quote I would bet you money it is the all famous MOM / COACHES WIFE[b] ) who was going from parent to parent complaing and trash talking some of the other parents. Then between innings she even walked up to the back of the dugout and got onto the girls and told them why the couldn't and wouldn't win a game!! We were shocked and thats when we looked at each other and shook our heads and decided thats all we could watch. Our daughter noticed it also and that led to a discussion at dinner that night where I told my wife and daughter that team would not last much longer.
Second, it does not matter who baught the equipment. Once it was baught and donated to the team, it became [b]team
property! Once a player leaves a team, she is resposible for returning any and all team equipment. Just like that, any team that leaves an organization, that team ( manager/coach ) is responsible for returning any and all team equipment to the head of the organization. No mater if a parent baught it and gave it to the team or if a coach baught it and gave it to the team, or even if the parents team fees baught it and it became team and organizations property. I don't understand this discussion?? Are you saying that the manager is refusing to give the organization their property after he quit the organization?? What would he want with team property that had the name on it of a team he no longer is affiliated with??

Reaper dont know if you were in Georgia or not because what you described was going on every weekend that the Travelers played, at least when we were at the same tournament. It's just sad to see a team break-up because some people can't control their wife's / husbands mouth whatever the case may be.

Lusk did a great job with this team. To bad a few of the parents and Glory had to mess it all up. I have seen this team many times even if my DD's team was older cause they seem to always play up and never heard anything from his wife, for that matter any of the women in the stands. I hope Glory is happy now!
