Count'em 'n weep!! wrote:All I have to say about the holiday camp is that the girls wearing the black mizuno shirts were very impresive hitting wise. It seemed like they all have great swings and hit the ball real hard for their age I have never seen girls swing the bat like that at that age. Very impressive. They were the talk amongst people who saw them hit. I don't know if they do have a hitting coach or someone who works with them but obviously whoever it is they're doing a great job. Kudos to team mizuno '98 u girls look great.
First of all…..our family attended the D-Bat Camp and considering the weather conditions…..and the cards that were dealt a
BIG “high five” to the people from D-Bat…we will attend again..thanks to the
College Coaches….you made our day!!
We drove all the way from South of Austin to attend this Camp for our daughter and some her teammates to be see the College Coaches…it was a long drive……our daughter was also with the girls in the Black Mizuno uniforms and I personally
“resent” your comment that those particular girls were the only ones
“singled out” for their
“hitting ability” in that age group……my daughter played with one of the top and very successful organizations in Central Texas, and our daughter hits
“every bit” as good as anyone we saw with the Black Mizuno uniforms on and she also received some of the
“same comments” concerning her hitting from the College Coaches in attendance....it was not just your little world!!!
So I did a little digging………..
JTF……….
Count'em 'n weep!! ……..it’s this easy…if you go back on your posts you’ll see that you spend much more time defending yourself from being associated with the girls wearing the Black Mizuno uniforms than you do from anything else…..so here are the
FACTS…either you want to get further up the Hitting Coaches butt so he will look at your daughter….or your daughter plays on his team already and you believe it will really help you…seen it before……...not that I care…..so you don’t have to deny your association anymore….although it must be embarrassing continuously denying it especially……….when the Coaching staff sees it!!!
Count'em 'n weep!!.............here’s some
“VERY” good advise….you are probably turning more people
“OFF” with your one sided comments than you are helping your Hitting Coach…….maybe now you can ask for a
hitting “discount”……..who knows your ploy may have worked....in some warped way
As a matter of
FACT ……..the most positive comments from the
College Coaches about
“driving the ball” and
“pure form” that we "personally heard about" was the five girls wearing the D-Bat uniforms in the same age group….one hitting Coach made a point of asking
“each one” of them their
“names” after commenting
“WOW”…my husband even commented that “if the other girls” from that same D-Bat team hit the ball with the same consistency inside and out “they would be tough to pitch against”
Then if you are going to state all of the
FACTS…from the Camp……and the
"chatter"…..when the pitchers started throwing from the same age group the Black Mizuno girls were in……one of the girls from the same D-BAT group started throwing
“heat consistently” and hitting her spots, with all of her pitches……..everyone immediately turned their heads from the……
”pop”, “pop”, “pop”……by far the best pitcher in that age group….three of the pitching Coaches converged to ask for her age……you have to be at least 14U…”who is your pitching Coach”…you probably had your blinders on........for that portion........and when the Coaches were praising the same group of D-Bat girls for their form when throwing and fielding the ball…......also it's funny you don’t see any of those parents putting their girls on a pedestal on public forms……during the Camp......did you?
Sorry, I did not hear any of the “comments” from the College Coaches about the girls in the Black Mizuno uniforms…..but I did hear “multiple comments” on the parents of the same girls………that they crowded the walkway and “would not move from in front of the cages to let other people see their own daughters hit in the cages” during the hitting sessions at the Camp…some of us drove a long way to see our daughters at all of the stations…..…also comments on how “cocky the parents were becoming…………….and that “it was starting to rub off on the girls”…there’s a difference between ‘cocky” and “confident”…………...sometimes that’s not a good thing at such a young age unless you can back it up
We have never played against the girls in Black Mizuno uniforms…..but from all the posts they like to put out on multiple public forms…….they defiantly have to be the top
12U “A” team in
North Texas…..or at least talk like they are…..I’ll have to check the past tournaments they have played in and the teams in them….sounds like everyone in
12U “A” North Texas should give up before the
Spring season begins....looking forward to seeing this
"A" team in the Houston area
As for
“Liz17”.......”Liz Goodman”…you seem like a nice and sincere person but…don't know him but
“Onedownonetogo” hit the nail on the head……………."Liz" perhaps as a Coach you should pull the reigns back a bit on "certain parents" from your team that seem to see through blinders on
HB.......it "may not" be all of the parents but it is obviously hurting the "entire group" of parents……and it may just help their hitting Coach out by praising some of the other girls in your area…
”a little praise goes a long way”…….I would never want my daughter around any parent that has blinders on when it comes to their own group………..especially during
"Camps" that we all pay our hard earned money for....to improve the play of our daughters that we all love…everyone is in attendence for the same reason………....what do you think the other teams in
North Texas “read into” the comment from…………………
Count'em 'n weep!!…….
