    Isn't it funny  how these threads get side tracted from the OP by emotions. Posters get a grip! If your are a Good Team don't get all But Hurt when there is a post about the tourny not being the one you should be playing. How many teams go up to NB just for the fun of it. How many go to make themselves a National Team????? If your Goals are in the right place then quit ya Bitchin!!! If you are having to defend yourself on a selly message board then you must not have the talent you think you do. T-Shirts say it all the time. "See Ya On Tha DIRT" ! We all have a responsibility to be true to ourselves. If you are not going to the right tourny for the right reasons then shame on you. But No Matter What Event You Go To There is always something to learn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :ugeek:

Bomers are doing a great Fund Raiser! Teams get to go up to the River! Teams get tons of Dirt Time (If they are good). New teams get good experience!

Houston Teams that stay and do the other tourny are doing what is right for them. They have their own agenda!!! If your Coach your team you should benifit from every experience!!!! They will get the most out of their play just like any little team that goes 4 and out or eben the winner of the bomer. Don't think Think Your Way is the Only Way!

Now all of yall Shut Up and Get to something Productive IT's Friday!!!!!!!!!

Forgot to mention that we chose to go up to the New Braun area for two reasons! Softball and River. We are getting Game Time and our Money is going to a worthy cause.(Not the pocket of some slimmy TD who makes a living off our addiction to the sport) And the rest of the family gets to enjoy some fun at the same time. Think of all the Bros and Sis's that get hauled around to all these tournys all year. At Least here they can go have fun during the games!!!!! This way me and the DD play ball and I don't have to listen to my wife and son complaining all weekend about having to be there! We are all happy   ;) ;) !!!!!!

Could not agree more.Tournament is 10 years old and has over 100 teams coming. I'm sure Scott appreciates some guy wearing a neon slingshot telling him how to run the Bomber tourney. IF YOU DONT LIKE IT DONT GO.

No one is telling him how to run the Tourney that's obvious that he knows how to do that. I'll say it slower........ The Fields SUCKKKKKKKKK therefore, put a little time and effort into them so no one gets hurttttttttttt. Have some pride in your facility that's all. :D

There are several field that are very good, but if youre not playing a bomber team you dont get to play on them.
Love the fields in the back that tilt towards the river and are covered in several inches of loose sand.
Oh by the way we will be in new braunfels again this year. :? :?

I understand your feelings about the condition of the fields in New Braunfels. It is not really the Bomber's faulf as those are city run fields. Would you be willing to drop 20K on your city to improve fields that the city should be able to do anyways. Long story long, I agree with Underdog, if you do not like the fields, the venue or whatever, just don't go play there. That's all there is to it. The 14U Phantomz will be there and maybe a 10U team to be named later since I chose to put my younger daughter back into league this year instead of playing select.

Gerneral Lee and HB, I am not outofnowhere but thought I would offer this bit of info to a couple of chickens. Not so much HB (because I know who you are) but General Lee for sure!! Only threw your name in here HB because of the coment you made about choosing league over select. Which brings to mind... Do you not think league is a chioce for young girls? Or that associations do not need league. Between your response to the guy that runs the Bomber organization and your reference to GL's reference about a person named Mark, ((which I assume ya'll think is me for some reason)), I am not sure you are right. You or anybody else do not know all the reasons why I made the decision I made for my younger dd.

I did put my younger daughter back into league and if you think I am stupid or just fell off of the turnip cart (quoting a certain individual from Pearland in 14U that said that to me when Sam was going into her second year of 10U because we were not going to play Spring ball with him) see if it hurt her at all?? She is throwing pretty well right now and you can bet she will be chunking when we play that individual's team every time!! My younger dd will have the time of her life this year playing allstars and all. To all the individuals who are forcing their dd's to play select at 10U or even 8U, lets just wait and see if there is any burnout on down the road.

Good luck to everybody.

Mark
