Doesn't Sting98 have a 97 starting 1st base, 97 starting pitcher, and another 97 or 2 starting on that team? Congrats on doing well in Beaumont. They should be holding their own when competing against 97's as they are not truly a 98 team. Good luck into the rest of the fall.

The 98 Texas Sting has four 97's on the roster and eight 98's, so yes they are not a true 98 team. I thought this was common knowledge. The org. has two 12u teams 98 & 97 is how they are identified that is all. Not trying to fool anyone.

I'm sorry, I thought you were the main one discussing how your 98 team was going to be a threat to the 97's this fall as your 98 team was ready to take on the world and win.

Must have been mistaken.

No slam intended on the team or the girls at all. Know some of them and they are good ball players. They're just not truly a 1st year team. Was just confused after all your posting earlier in here.

I was expecting ya'll to make it back to the final game. just saying you needed to find a way to beat the Rattlers you will be fine.
Looks like the next big weekend is coming on the 25th. 98's in Deerpark and the 97's in Tomball.
Teams are starting to find their identity. Still the Redhots are the team to beat.

I think you are confused about allot of things. Who is your dog in the hunt I would like to know how your team is doing this early in the fall. Like I said I think this team will be fine once they have more time on the field together. Don't be a hater this early in the season. Nothing wrong with being excited about your team. I would think you are suppose to have the mind set you can win against anybody on any given weekend. I think the 97's we played this weekend would consider us a threat. 8-)

IF red hots are the team to beat? How did they do this past week-end? I didn't here you say.
There re several good teams they have not even played yet. When that happens you can say they are the team to beat.

Tex, I know you know your stuff but after seeing the 12u teams at Beaumont this weekend I would have to say that I would believe the RH are going to be one of the teams clearly on the top of the 12u division. They were mixing it up pretty good with the 14u this weekend. I have not seen many 12u teams this season but from what I hear it is a bit watered down. Most of the 12u's need some time before there ready to challenge the RH.

Hammer,
You have a very good softball mind and an excellant eye for talent and teams that are good at what they do. The Sting org. will get out and mix it up with the best, and most of the time come out on top or very close to it. My point is all I hear is talk about the Red Hots when they play up to 14. I come back to 1 of my statements, anyone can play up to 14 and lose. Come play with the 12's and beat the Sting and the high voltage and tps97 and tps 98 and then say you are the team to beat. You can't as a 12u go by what you do in 14u.

I know the Red Hots have a good organization and are a tough team to beat and I take my hat off to them. My intent is not to insult them are any other organization.

Red Hots as the #1 in 12u need to prove to all the 12u teams that they deserve to be #1.

Hammer,

I can't believe you let her reel you in like that. She must be upset that things aren't going so well right now. Sting 98 looked good this weekend and the 97's do need to worry.

why would the 97 sting have something to worry about? Because you think the 98/97 sting is the better team?
