Would you be willing to drop 20K on your city to improve fields that the city should be able to do anyways. Long story long, I agree with Underdog, if you do not like the fields, the venue or whatever, just don't go play there. That's all there is to it. The 14U Phantomz will be there and maybe a 10U team to be named later since I chose to put my younger daughter back into league this year instead of playing select.
Gerneral Lee and HB, I am not outofnowhere but thought I would offer this bit of info to a couple of chickens. Not so much HB (because I know who you are) but General Lee for sure!! Only threw your name in here HB because of the coment you made about choosing league over select. Which brings to mind... Do you not think league is a chioce for young girls? Or that associations do not need league. Between your response to the guy that runs the Bomber organization and your reference to GL's reference about a person named Mark, ((which I assume ya'll think is me for some reason)), I am not sure you are right. You or anybody else do not know all the reasons why I made the decision I made for my younger dd.
I did put my younger daughter back into league and if you think I am stupid or just fell off of the turnip cart (quoting a certain individual from Pearland in 14U that said that to me when Sam was going into her second year of 10U because we were not going to play Spring ball with him) see if it hurt her at all?? She is throwing pretty well right now and you can bet she will be chunking when we play that individual's team every time!! My younger dd will have the time of her life this year playing allstars and all. To all the individuals who are forcing their dd's to play select at 10U or even 8U, lets just wait and see if there is any burnout on down the road.
Good luck to everybody.
Mark
You read into this one!!!! I have no idea what your talking about. But you made some good points. Do what's best for your DD. GOOD LUCK
