Everybody has their own opinion too and we all know what your opinion is, but he obviously has some good qualities or he would not still be in business. Business being the key word here and he has rules that he goes by too and when people do not adhere to his rules, he most all times invokes the result of not adhering to the rule. He also charges one week in advance and that is to make sure people show up at their next scheduled practice time. If he did not do that and people cancelled on him, he would be hung without making any money for that scheduled time slot, that could have been filled if the person had call to cancel in enough time for him to fill the hole.

I am not trying to start anything with you as we are friends and hopefully will continue to be. Just trying to take up for somebody that I consider a friend too. Eddie is not for everybody, no doubt about that. I agree 100%, but that doesn't mean he should be bashed on here.

Just my two cents worth, which normally is not worth a hill of beans..

Mark

Mark,

I understand your situation, but the fact is running a business is obviously not one of his good qualities.

Facts: Hurricane hits, I'm having to deal with two houses and I called 48hrs prior to let him know
(had to leave a message) we couldn't make it to our lesson. I did not get a return call! My daughter and I show up the following week for her lesson, he cancelled it on the spot. Mind you that we drive from Pearland to his place, he could of atleast called and cancelled to save us a trip. Since I gave him the courtesy of a 48 hr notice the wek before. I'm just getting my $30 worth! :D

That's how the cookie crumbles!

Don't cry about a long drive from pearland what is it 30 minutes? try a 1 1/2 hour drive one way. I do not know your situation or what happened, but, i always confirm my lessons prior to departure. As a teacher my self when students don't show it is difficult for all parties involved.

Tim Timmons is the best. He is currently out of the hospital. Tim is undergoing several rounds of chemo - immediately following the treatmenst he is home bound until his white count rebounds.

He has pitchers at or signed with: Texas, Baylor, Texas State, OSU and many more.

If you want to learn how to spin the ball - He's the man.

Ok dlyle! I called 48hrs prior when I had to cancel (RESPECT), due to HURRICANE damage! I don't call and verify appointments before going, it's scheduled no need to. Since he was the one cancelling the following week he should of notified the student (I guess respect is oneway street)! By the way he only cancelled because another student cancelled that night.

By the 1 1/2 hrs. oneway, I guess I would call too!
;)
Just getting my $30 worth! :D

JMO

Also does well with the kids that catch his students.

Agreed...Ken does a great job...

Not knocking you because I do not know anything about you but the title of this thread is great picthing coaches. Are you saying you are a great pitching coach or just trying to get some exposure? Just asking.

Did you even read her post or just see a chance to jump on someone and cause some drama? Or do you really just live under a rock and not know who she is?

I realize that being one of the greatest pitchers the college game has seen in the last 5 years doesn't make you a great coach but I would think being the pitching insructor for a top 20 Division I school in the country might carry some merit.

She's an amezing role model as well but that also doesn't factor into her being a great coach. :)
