If he's from Dallas.... How can he claim to know so much about Crossfire which is from Houston? How many times have they played? Seems a bit odd to me or just a bit presumptuous at best if that is true. Which goes back to the repeated saying..... Can't judge a team based on 1 game or 1 weekend.

I don't know of any defense in 10U that doesn't have holes, but I do believe you think there are. You can't win as much as Crossfire has and have to many holes or to many balls bouncing off the fence. Have you watched every game Crossfire has played? I don't think so. Did funlostinsoftball hit a nerve?

I don't think the RedHots or TPS have any defensive holes. Relative to the 10U level. They all make errors, but those two teams play solid defense, with few errors. But, they have been together longer than the rest of us, so they have an advantage.

I believe the only Houston teams that Sweeet Gold has lost to in a bracket game were Texas Ice in Houston and TPS in Seguin and then again in Houston. They beat the Red Hots at Bomber Shootout in a classic game.

Crossfire is capable, just inconsistant at this juncture. I believe they have better talent then they have showed lately. Not sure what the issue is. Everybody should be putting their best foot forward starting right about now. Creme rises to the top.

I apologize....I'll be good :)
iceicebaby and Iceberg are two different people...and I don't knowanything about foolsball, softball...I never made a team...I'm a sideline heckler that enjoys watching folks get spun up about nothing.

Truth be told, I think the 97TPS team is the best, Sweet Gold 2nd, Red Hots 3rd.
Crossfire has the unlimited potential to be the best on the field but they have to believe it themselves and play with the same intensity from Saturday to Championship Sunday. They have talent, no doubt but need to start playing at a higher level over then next couple of months (against the good teams) to prepare for the big dance. Nothing personal, I guess I lost focus for a minute, my apologies Crossfire supporters.

Take care and I'll be watching ya on the dirt. 8-)

Wow! Everyone sure is worked up over these 10 U's. Personally, I dont know any of these teams but I have my doubts as to the success of Texas teams at Nationals this year. As someone who has been to many National tournaments I can tell you that in addition to being outrageously good, you also have to have some breaks go your way as well. I have seen Texas teams finish outside the Top 15 in a 50-60 team National tournament when truth be told they were easily one of the 10 best teams in the whole country. However, they got a bad draw and if you lose a bracket game early in the week, you are toast....I dont care how good you think you are. Dont get me wrong, I wish nothing for the best for these 97 teams cause Texas has been on a good roll the last few years at 10U Nationals.

2006 95 Tx Glory National Champs
2007 96 Diamonds National Runner-Ups

The past 2 years a Texas team has made it to the championship game on Sunday and have gone 1-1. But these 2 teams were completely superior to their other Texas teams. You did not have all of the bickering back and forth like there is here on this board as to who is the best. This tells me 2 things....either those teams were that much better than their competition; or all these teams are that good which bodes well for Texas.
