Vortex beat 99 Glory Blue twice 9-4 in McKinney and 6-2 this weekend. Glory 99 Blue beat fireballs in McKinney 9-2. Vortex is defintelly not at the same calibar as Allen, Fusion or Glory 98 but not sure fireballs, 99 dbat or 99 glory are either as all of these teams are inconsistent. Regardless of what our views are the road to nationals will run through the big three. The rest of us are just along for the ride. The good thing is next summer nationals will run through 99 D-bat and Glory 99

Sounds like "True TEX" needs to change their screen name to VORTEX or "Reese" for short. Let me state my allegiances first of all. I have two daughters one 97 and one 99 both of which pick up a lot and we just happen to be at both of the tournaments referenced above. First of all the Fireballs were never "blown away" by the Vortex or even beaten by them for that matter. In fact I have seen all three games and none of them were even close. The Vortex has only scored 1 run in three games vs FB and none of the games were as close as the scores they are completely overmatched and dont deserve to mentioned in the top level teams.

No doubt that Fusion and both Glory and Glory Allen are the teams to beat based on their track record but as far as I know looking back on VTD there is only one team that has beaten two of the three and that is the FB. They have played the Glory once and beat them soundly and played Fusion three times, The result: They lost one game by 1 run tied one game and won one game by 1 run. I wouldnt be surprised to see all four of these teams in AL.

How can any '99 team be listed as one of the top NTX 12u teams... that is funny! While it is true that '99 Glory Blue is a scrappy bunch of girls, what have they really done? Playing up does not give you an automatic berth on a top teams list. I am not seeing much success at the 12u level when they drop back into their age group... didn't 2000 Shock beat them last summer while they were gearing up for nationals?? Maybe '00 Shock should be listed as one of the top 12u teams with a footnote that they are actually a 10u team!?! The better than average '98 teams are still stronger than the best '99 teams in this area. Case in point.. Vortex- 6 Glory Blue- 2.

As for D-Fat Streetman... that team has been carried by #23 and #55 (didn't they lose her?) I think the TFS win is a good one for them, who else did they beat this weekend? Twist-Watson? Who have they beaten since the fall? Saw them get smoked by Elite99 last fall in a tournament(with their stud catcher who is not there anymore)... Elite99?? Really? How can you make any list if they can beat the tar out of you less than 6 months ago?? They are a paper (lol, plastic chasing) giant...

There are at least 5 '98 teams that are better than both of them in NTX just about every weekend... BB Rhine, RIP98, Glory Moser, 98 Pride or Vortex (they are really a reach, but the results don't lie Glory Blue). Maybe this should be called the best 12u teams in NTX (except for the other teams that are consistently beating them). Bottom line, any top teams list in NTX that includes any of the '99 teams is not realistic... pull up your big girl panties and go back to work '99's, you guys can make the list in the fall.

Keeping it real,

Kool :o

Look who is call the kettle black Texas Maverick. Sounds like a disgruntle fireball coach/parent. The coach for the vortex is a class act. I spoke to him this weekend as I was very curious on why he was no longer coaching the fireballs as I had a ton of respect for his coaching. He had nothing but positive things to say about the fireball organization. He stated it was time to move on and that he left the team in good hands. Sounds like a man of principals and one I would love to have my daughter play for. My post stated the fireballs blew out the vortex not the other way around as you incorrectly stated. My post states the fireballs are not consistent which based on facts is accurate. If the vortex is not any good why did you not blow them out in the first 2 games 2-0/4-1 is not a blow out. We beat you 9-2 which clearly shows being inconsistent. Fireballs are a good team along with all the teams mentioned. What separates these teams from the top 3 is that we are all inconsistent. I never stated vortex is better then fireballs but more as a team to keep an eye on.

Wrong again Vortex oops I mean Tru Tex. I have no allegiance to either of these four teams and I never questioned the principals of the Vortex coach, in fact I didnt even know that he coached both teams. Isnt it interesting that your profile on Hey Bucket was created the same month that Vortex team was created on VTD and the only 3 posts on Hey Bucket is concerning the 98 Vortex LOL!!!!!!! Me smell a rat !!!!! How funny if you actually are a Coach on the Vortex to proclaim what a great man you are.

What a coincident that you just happen to speak to the Vortex coach and get his life story about his past coaching career. You say that "we beat you 9-2" does that mean you are with the 99 Glory Blue. If so you wont mind telling us which parent you are on the Glory team I guess.

Why such a chip on your shoulder did your DD get cut by the Vortex? Last time I checked no one including you has mentioned who they are. All you are doing is playing poker. I just registered today Tue Apr 19, 2011 not sure how that corralates to the vortex. Knowing you probally have 15 personalities on hatebucket and play a mean poker game this game is over. All I know is that when you play a team and they win your respect you communicate with the coaches as this is a small community. It is not always about winning but how you act when you do win. There is a reason no one likes heybucket and I have learned a lesson. Good luck fireballs and all the teams mentioned. Don't be a hater life is to short. Reece, if you are watching this crap keep your head up as you have a good thing going. You have a class team and good things will come to those who do it for the right reason. I look forward to seeing your team play again and only wish your team the best.

Vortex, I mean tru tex. No one is hating but lets call a spade a spade. The discussion on this thread was about the best 12U teams in north texas and you come on here touting the Vortex when they have not beaten anyone. Then you claim to be part of the Glory 99 Blue when you anyone can look at your post history and see you only post concerning the Vortex. I simply challenged your opinion based on my the results on the field. I give Vortex props for a new team but they dont deserve to be mentioned with the big boys. They seem to be a fine bunch of girls and I am sure they will do well.

By the way nice touch mis spelling your name (reece) at the end of your last post after already spelling it correctly in a previous post.

Although very funny to read, weather Tru Tex is VORTEX really has no bearing on this thread. The discussion is about who is the best 12U in N Texas and I agree Vortex is not ready yet to be mentioned with the other top notch teams since they are a new team and are yet unproven. Besides I hear they are losing a player or two. Lets get the discussion back to the subject at hand. I just hope one of these NTX teams can challenge in Nats whoever it may be.

I concur 100% with the above comment. I think that the best of 12U NTX has been aligned a little bit more closer with the departure with Fusion's pitcher. From what I understand, it's her 4th team in about a year. Sounds like to me that daddy needs to have his bucket taken away and remain quiet on the sidelines.

The last thing I'll say about 12U NTX is that the talent may be spread too thin for any of them to make a serious run against the CA teams. Taking into consideration the recent changes and results, I think that the top-4 are the same with the order moved around but in any given tournament, I'd say that all 4 match up pretty evenly.

1 - Glory Allen
2 - Fusion
3 - Fireballs
4 - Glory (98)
5 - Way too many to choose from but IMO there is a measurable gap from here on out but taking into consideration all 4 of the above teams have been beaten by teams not on here, I think we should treat this like a pre-season college poll. It really means nothing; just ask the Chokehorns down in Austin.

I think that Fusion pitcher was with them for about 8 months. It will be a tough loss for them this time of year but, it has happened before and will happen again. That is just the nature of the beast. Some pitchers move around until they find the right fit. Everyone will just have to see what happens to those top teams now.

I've been friends with several of the Fusion 98 people, and have watched several of their games and let me say that they will not skip a beat after losing that pitcher. If I recall correctly, that pitcher did not beat any of the top 98 teams being mentioned on here, and if I'm not mistaken she was far from being their ace pitcher. I think her daddy needs to stay off of heybucket and talking about what a huge loss it is to the team. I don't think they would have let her go if she was that key of a player.

Now talking about the real issue on this thread, I would like to watch Glory Allen play Fusion, they have had some match ups recently and Fusion has come out on top but I saw Allen play this past weekend and they look stronger to me. In regards to Glory Kyser, I think they are falling off the wagon, and looked pretty overmatched this past weekend getting run-ruled by Fusion....uh oh!!

Money tournament people and Anderson Invitational: can you invest on some live broadcasting equipment to air the games? My dd has tournaments both weekends and won't be able to make it, but would love to watch some games out of there!!

iheartfastpitch....oh yes I do! :D
