wow...
First of all, if you are sitting on the sidelines, your only job is to support your kid's team in a positive way. You aren't part of the game or the coaching staff. How on earth do you justify you interrupting the pitching coach during the game to "tell him to change what he is calling"?
Do you seriously think your input can affect the outcome of your kid's games?

"Position myself behind the plate"...not "sit" behind the plate, but "position" myself there...

If you were on my team you would have serious repercussions if you tried to pull any of that crap. Actually, that wouldn't be an issue because you would never be on my team, even if your kid is the best player in the world...

Hopefully someday soon you will realize the damage you are doing to yourself, and more importantly, to your kid, before it is unrepairable...

You, my dear lady, are a waving a giant red flag in the world of kids sports.

Since you don't know me, don't bother to make assumptions or read so deeply into what I wrote...not sit but position  ...whatever. My daughter is a pitcher as I have stated. We have a great relationship with the pitching coach and as such he has requested feedback. So you have never changed (guessing you are a coach since you wouldn't want me or my daughter on your team) what you call based upon what the blue is partial to?

PUULLEEEZZZEEE learn how to quote other posts. I almost missed 2 "bite me"s and an "umpires are blind" comment. My day wouldn't have been complete without reading those zingers.

This explanation makes less sense than the comment it explains.

BTW, my skin is plenty thick. I just choose not to ignore what I don't wish to ignore. Today, it's posts like yours.

Is this better and by the way...so you won' miss it...wait for it...wait for it

I do know you. You are every parent out there who thinks they are part of the game instead of letting their kid pave their own way...

Using the word "position" tells me that you make it a point to see where the pitches are so you can "help" the coaches...again, unless you are on the coaching staff, you are NOT part of the game, except to support your kid and her team in a positive way...
I'm guessing you make the effort to position yourself in that key spot only when your kid is pitching, but I'm just taking a wild guess on that one...

Yes, I have coached a little, and over time, I have realized why the upper level coaches keep the parents out of the mix as far as being part of their kids' games. I am now slowly taking myself out of my kid's way so she can continue to make her own identity. I have also realized I have taken her as far as I can as a head coach, and now it is time to hand her over to the pros...

And yes, I do make adjustments to the way the pitches are called, based on the umpire's interpretation of the strike zone. But I do it from immediate results, and more importantly, from the feedback of the pitchers and catchers, not their parents.

"I do know you. You are every parent out there who thinks they are part of the game instead of letting their kid pave their own way..."

No, you don't know me and if you knew my daughter at all, you would realize how wrong you are with the assumption of us directing or controlling her.

'I'm guessing you make the effort to position yourself in that key spot only when your kid is pitching, but I'm just taking a wild guess on that one..."

Wrong again, for all of the pitching including other teams. Just my thing I guess, enjoy watching girls throw balls at people :D .

"And yes, I do make adjustments to the way the pitches are called, based on the umpire's interpretation of the strike zone. But I do it from immediate results, and more importantly, from the feedback of the pitchers and catchers, not their parents."

Good plan however feedback is asked for and given period. I know he talks to the girls as well.
