The turf infield was ok, took some getting used to but worked out ok. However the very short amount of dirt they gave the pithcers was not acceptable. No way anything older the 14u could be there. Most of our pitchers had to shorten their stride so they didn't stride onto the turf and slip...May work better when it is dry, don't know.

What happened with the Aces/Thunder/Storm Elite matchups, did anyone keep track?

That should be interested this weekend at the exposure tournament being hosted there.
My daughter is perfect, she knows everything. Just ask her.

My kid said that she was landing on the seam where the dirt meets the turf and was really throwing her off. It was all turf but the older girls wearing metals cleats was tearing it up so they took some of the turf out, but I think that created a new problem.

The older girls should not have a problem when they move the mound back to 43'. plus makes it easier for the umpire to call out of the pitching lane.we as 12's did not have too much trouble, but we are a little shorter than the 14's.

Aces lost a couple close ones, it was not our best weekend. We lost a great game vs Storm that we should have won but just did not get the offense going. On our way to our next game we walked past FBT up 5-0 on Sting White but did not see final score. Sting did not look happy. I also heard fury was rolling over everything in their path, did not see any of it though. I was surprised to see Red Hots picking up a couple 95 players. Whats up with that?
What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals.

Zig-
It is kind of funny how you let them little Red Hots get to you. I would consider the Aces a top '96 team....so what are you worried about a '97 team for?

The Red Hots had two 95 players with them that were sisters because they were short players. The pickups little sister was playing in 10s. As I recall the p/us were batting last and rotated in left field. None of the Red Hot roster players sat the bench the entire day.

I saw twin 6 footers hit 300' homers, a pitcher throw in the mid 70s and a slapper who ran a legitimate 2 flat home to 1st.

Other than that it was pretty much what i expected!!!!!!!!!!!! 8-) 8-)

I think that pitcher was only used in pool games, coach was probably afraid she'd get rocked too hard to put her in a bracket game!
