I also get tired of seeing comments posted by people that try to speak for Tomball when they don’t know. The comments from Lunatic Fringe pregame about there being no contest between Woodlands/Tomball is not how Tomball parents feel. It’s obvious to figure out who Lunatic Fringe is since he posts picture of his daughter. She is a freshman JV player that is moving to the new Tomball high school next year. His comments are not even worth being considered as an opinion of any Tomball parent on varsity, because I don’t even know that he is friends with any of the varsity parents. These parents knew that a matchup between WoodlandsTomball would be good games and a fight to the end as they were.

I will agree with the earlier posters when they say that both teams played their collective hearts out. As you so gallantly pointed out, I don't have a dog in the hunt, but I will add that I chose to go to all the games in the series because I knew I was looking at the best of the best. I also brought my daughter (she was there to support her team) so she could see what excellence looks like when its plays each other. Both pitchers put on a clinic and when they made mistakes, they got punished, like you'd expect good hitters to do to mistakes. In the end The Woodlands made fewer mistakes. It's too bad one of those teams had to lose. Lighten up, Francis

Actually I was a two-sport athlete in college-Not many of us out there! This is a forum and in my opinion that's alot of hits. Not dragging the kid down, just making a statement. Kelly I and Lisa F expect their pitchers to be top notch, without a doubt. UCLA had a rare down year and they don't like losing.

What is so funny is everyone is talking about her giving up so many hits. Look at Tomball's lineup, it is loaded with hitter's. They broke every offensive record this year. They can rake it!!! Kudos to Paige for keeping them down enough for the Woodlands to defeat Tomball. It was just a shame they had to meet when they did. They are both great teams and I hope Woodlands bring it home to Houston area along with Pearland. I hope Santa Fe brings it back also in 4A.

You are correct. I was looking at the brackets and didn't look at the schedule. Good luck to both it should be a great game. I'm pretty sure the Gold Coaches are ready for them to be done so they can try and qualify. Will see if the Pearland's speed and small ball can do it 2 years in a row.

Its a single game and anything can happen, but I don't see how The Woodlands doesn't outhit Pearland and win this game.
