As your daughter gets older, if her/your goal is to compete at USA/ASA Nationals, there are more teams competing at the older age groups than at the 10U level. How many teams are actually going to compete at 10U Nationals this year? 30-35? What a joke! Wait till you get to 12U or 14U when there are 60-80 teams. How do you like your odds now? Hotbox, I assure my daughter is not in cheer. She is still competing at the highest level of competition. If you would like to compare trophy cases just pm meand I can send photos of some "pieces of plastic." I can guarantee my daughter has trophies, one in particular...an ASA National Championship trophy, that you dont have, and probably never will. You are correct Hammer in that college coaches dont look at a girl's resume and say she didnt finish Top 6 so she is a bust. However, I know for a fact that finishing in the Top 5 at ASA Nationals for 3 years in a row is going to get your team exposure and therefore by default, your daughter. Unless your daughter is a Cat Osterman type, few players in the nation warrant a solo look by college coaches. Their time is very limited, so they have to make the most efficient use of their time. Meaning why go watch one stud girl on a good team, when they can go watch 7 great players on one elite team. This is why you have all of these showcase tournaments.
LMAO!!! Hardware means nothing Buckeer... Cali Teams just give trophies out just because their dd shows up with a smile. Trophy case…..still LMAO.
