12U ASA,AFA,USSSA,USFA - What is your goal?

by Flash4 » Tue Mar 25, 2008 12:33 pm

Texas is a large state and seems to be split on who goes where to nationals. Texas could be represented well at ASA nationals this year if alot of teams decide not to back away from the fear of California. Yes, the are good/great but Texas has done really well over the last two years.

2006 - 3 teams in the top 10 and 8 teams attended
1st 95 Texas Glory
5th Groove 95
7th Deer Park TPS
13th - Round Rock Blaze - made a good showing and stronger than they were in 2006

2007 - 2 teams in the top 10 and 6 teams attended
Runner-up 96 Diamonds - almost won it and they get a returning berth
T-5th - South Texas Riptide

Who is planning on going to ASA nationals or to one of the other nationals?

Sorry, but I usually don't keep up with the other nationals but I do know that Texas is also represented well.

Come on Texas.... lets stand strong this year and give out all of our berths to nationals. The girls will learn alot, make friends, and gain alot of experience facing other teams from around the nation.

ASA is for the dominant teams.
USFA is for the good teams that just can't seem to win big ASA tourneys.
USSA is for mostly "B" temas, but you will see strong trophy hunting teams play here.
Pony...well that is a whole other story..don't play pony!!
AFA is for teams that don't ever want to play..they never make around here.

What about NAFA? They have a 12 national tourney in the Dallas area? Will that be a decent tourney?
