Congratulations Pasadena Angels 10U A USFA State Champions!!

by Angel1 » Mon Jun 14, 2010 11:42 am

There was a lot of great softball played this weekend in Beaumont and I saw many spectacular plays by a lot of great girls. It really shows how hard all the girls and coaches worked this season and they all deserve a lot of Kudos.

Kingwood Edge, TPS 99, Pearland Phantomz, and Humble Cobras you are all first class teams!!!

Give us more detail Tom. Who did ya'll beat in the ship and was there an "if" game? I am surprised that somebody else besides the Cobras won this thing. I thought they were a lock??

Good job Angels!!!!

Thanks Mark for the kind worrds.

We beat the Phantomz, TPS and Cobra's to advance to the Chapionship game. The Cobra's fought thier way back to the championship game and put it on us 10-1. They hit the ball like the monster hitters they are and we made some mistakes.

Fortunately, there was an If game and we did the three things we needed to win, pitching, defence and timely hitting. The final was 2-1 after 5 innings.

This is where I get to brag about my DD. During the tournament she had 19 AB's with 10 hits, 2 walks and 1 SAC and I couldn't be prouder of her play.

It's OK to brag on your dd Tom. I especially like it when the person isn't hiding behind a screen name and doing it or smashing somebody else.

Good Luck!!

Congrats Tom, to beat the Cobras twice is not an easy task.

I saw your team playing in New Braunfels on Memorial Day weekend, your girls played hard and their hitting was very good.

Now a couple of questions,

1. Did you beat the Cobras twice with the same girls or you picked up some ?
2. Are you planning to pick up some girls from Austin for USFA Nationals ?

Congrats Angels!!! So proud of each and everyone of our girls!!!

@Strike One...Angels played with our own girls that were in New Braunfels. We did however pick up a girl from Austin for the rest of the season since our roster is down to only 9 players.

Awesome, you have an excellent group of girls, I'm sure you will have a great tournament in Panama City.

Good luck and bring the Championship to Texas !!!

1. We used the same nine we have been playing with for a couple of months since we lost a girl.
2. Yes, we are picking up a player to go to nationals with us. She is from Austin.
