Wow.
100 degrees and where to start? Lets see top heavy pool play, horrible, horrible umps, chalk the fields at start of day and thats it.
First the fields being lined at 8a and never chalked again, not even for championship, raked yes, watered every three games.

Umps. Ol lord what in the world have they done there!! Mom and daughter has to go!! Bad calls affecting both sides in every game. THEY MAKE $36 A GAME. WOW!!

Scooters!! leave the damn thhings at home, players getting run over all day!!
Soft core balls that sounded like rubber dipple balls.

Four of the top 5 in same pool. Only one advanced and then got beat by a lessor team with 3 A pickup players. 2 pools advanced playing all new or 2000 teams.
I will say at least the girls bringing water made sure the buckets were full at all times.

At least some talent showed what they have.
And maybe some of the trophies will add a nice touch to the decor in the trailers!!

Yes I did Joe and GOD shot me a message saying he was overlooking and felt the same way. Also he said you need to ask forgivness and repent or you may be feeling the heat more than you think. You must be a part of the great NRH, Southlake crew. You always bash ASA. Hell at least they can run it better than those two groups.

While I normally agree with a lot of what RTM is saying, I thought this was a very well run tournament. One thing that was sizzlin was the hot team moms. Many teams there this weekend would make the list in the "other thread" Good job to the TDs for setting up the pools so that it was easy to get a look at hot moms no matter which game you were watching!

I was whining because I didn't win the powerball. Then I could take the hot moms out on my yacht and give updates.

Perhaps Darren needs to do a little housecleaning...

Scooters? Just add a few well placed pebbles on the sidewalk and it'll take care of itself...or maybe accidently pretend you're not looking and you know...kinda walk into one when he's up to full speed. Your acting skills need to be good on this one...as the 'flop' needs to be executed to perfection...then get up limping...call mom or dad over and ask for a phone number so you can "follow-up" after a visit to the doc.

I would also like to congratulate the teams that placed in the tournament. Personally, I felt that it was very well run. It is very difficult to stay on schedule AND keep the fields properly maintained and lined, and I believe most coaches would prefer to stay on schedule. We were in a very tough Pool A, and although we were winless, I felt that we competed well and all of the games could have gone either way. I would not have changed our pool just to get more wins or hardware, as we prefer to play the best competition that we can as often as possible. Although some of the aforementioned umpire calls went against us, and although I was embarrassingly vehement in my protest of the calls, I do not blame the umps for any of our lack of success. They are humans and subject to human error. I do not take their calls personally, nor do I believe that they are bad umpires. I appreciate that the umpires and their calls are a part of the game, and I appreciate their hard work, even when my view disagrees with theirs at times.

Sure it can...and the same can be said for any tournament...Metro, State, Regional, National. For that matter, let's put a dad behind the plate, clean a couple of old balls, throw on some tees with magic marker numbers..and we can really save some coin...
