It was a great event this year and seemed better organized. But I doubt seriously there were "hundreds" of college coaches. I just wish that for the benefit of the players he would publish a list of coaches who register.

I counted maybe a dozen Division I coaches and 75 college coaches total. That still ain't shabby considering the number of Houston and Central Texas teams has been cut by half because of the Texas Impact Gold's showcase in Houston the same weekend.

Anyone know how many college coaches the Invitational Round Robin in Irving drew this weekend? Interesting someone finally went head-to-head with Plano.

There were 122 College Coaches that signed in this past weekend, this is down about 20 from last July's number but we also approved less teams this year due to the lack of fields because of the Cities leagues that had been rained out. We will send out a list with emails to all of the coaches to share with their teams in day or so. Ahead of showcases we send out a list of college coaches that have either committed to coming, have come to a previous showcase and/or has show interest in coming to one of our showcases. This way even if a coach was thinking of not coming but got some letters of interest from players would then decide to come and watch. Lots of the coaches let us know just a few days before a showcase they are coming and some do not ever let us know and just show up so we try to be prepared with enough college coaches recruiting materials we have on occasion had to make trips to Kinko's to get more though. :) Baically we just always try to do the best we can.

The invitational in Houston had a decent showing I think considering it's still a fairly new showcase. Here are the schools I saw represented:
A&M
Baylor
SFA
McNeese
Hill college
Southwestern
Georgia
Texas State
UT Arlington
San Jac

I know there were more, just didn't write them all down.
I also saw a scouting service there, can anyone help me out with why a scouting service would be present at a game where none of the players are using such a service? Do schools use them also to look at players they have an interest in if they can't make it to a game?
My daughter is perfect, she knows everything. Just ask her.
