How did teams look at the Tournament in Seguin on 9/25-9/26

Any thoughts on how teams looked at this tournament?

10's, 12's and 18's were all there.

10U won by Texas Bombers 00, Blaze south 2nd place but there is no comparing these two. Bombers won 7-0 in the ship.

12's won by Texas Slam 98. Texas Raiders 2nd place team had a very big kid pitching and throwing hard.

18's Won by SA Stampede 18U. Team clearly helped by some kids leaving other teams or folding. I have always like coach craft so congrats to her. 2-6 places were pretty competitive but then it dropped off quite a bit from there. Platinum 16U played well for being as young as they are.

How young is that Platinum team? I think that the SA Stampede team is made up of sophomores and freshman. So, for a young team, they did quite well and even better than the Platinum. They didn't finish in the top 5.

I heard the platinum has a few eight graders.
When the Stampede and Challengers Gold were playing, there were some dad's in the background talking about the eight grade pitcher the Stampede had pitching against the Challengers Gold. The Stampede beat them 5-0 with their eight grade pitcher, uncomfirmed.
So does anybody know which teams the Hitt has that are actually Gold teams? They seem to have three 18u classified GOLD teams?
Also, what about the SA Law team? They looked pretty tough, I think they are the team to beat.

I was Just going by team age classification on VTD. I assumed all the 18U teams had one or more ineligible to play 16U and Platinum were all still 16U eligible for Nationals next year.

The 16u Platinum are all new girls, and are very young with a couple of girls that are now sophmores. Last year's Platinum are now the 18u Gold...With some added talent..

Challengers Gold played with only nine players (included 3 guests that do not play softball full time), they had four starters playing for the SA Law

Challengers Gold played the tournament with 9 players 3 of which were pickup players due to injuries. The last two games they played with 8. The Challengers allowed 4 players to play with the SA Law team so that their HS coach would get off their back for not playing any tournaments with their HS team. Challengers played the tournament so that the younger players could get some playing time before they play against ST Mary's University, Incarnate Word University and TLU in the coming weeks. As for the Stampede pitcher being an 8th grader what does that have to do with anything She is a very good pitcher for her age and is only going to get better. I like that her parents are allowing her to play up and not keeping her down just because she is an 8th grader. One pitcher comes to mine who follwed this same path and her name is Briana Sanchez.

Good comments Texasafa, one question I continue to hear from the bigger 5A HS schools more and more, Can your HS coach tell their players where they can and cannot play in fall? Is there any type of UIL rules that control this. Also can HS coaches coach during the fall on select teams?
