We played two good teams in our pools Birmingham Vipers and St. Louis Chaos losing by one run both games. I played ALL 12 of my kids in pools trying to figure out who was going to be playing in brackets. I lost all my games by one run (both pools and brackets), so I didn't play to bad and won most of my games by run rule. Just didn't get the big hits that win games with 2 outs and I DIDN'T have a ball bounce my way ALL week. I'm not making any excuses for our play. We will re-bound and be ready for California. I told my girls to remember this feeling and don't let it happen again. I have to do a better job of managing the game as well, it's not always the girls fault for the outcome of games. We as coaches have to take responsibility for the outcome as well.
Good luck to you at Premier Gene. Sometimes is just seems like nothing can go your way! You have a great team and you just have to gear em up for California. It is also nice to see a coach man up and say they could have done a better job too. That's just the kind of person you are!

PS: Maybe we could slide Sam onto your team for California(LOL), but then again, you have great pitching already and do not need another pitcher.
