I have been searching for updates on Texase teams at all of the National tournaments. Not only ASA Nationals, but all of them. Give some updates on your team and/or other teams you saw at Nationals from Texas.

How did Texas do?

I can only speak for 16U Nationals on the teams that I saw.

From the beginning, I thought the Texas Bobmers looked good and had alot going for them going into Brackets.

The Texas Flames showed up and played well for Texas and themselves. I would have to say that they are a very good team that beat alot of good Teams from all over the Nation.

Both Texas Glory teams and the Flames were the last Texas teams in the Winners bracket on Friday. I think they all lost at about the same time. I did the one of the Texas Glory teams lose to the Vipers on Saturday. Wow what a great game the if you only saw the score you were mis-led. It went into ITB tied 0-0, but they lost 5-0. The Glory pitcher was awesome, but lost steam in the end.

The Texas Blaze played well and was the last Central Texas team standing. They had never been to a Nationals before and showed up . They beat two very good big organization teams. I saw one of there pitchers for a few innings on Friday and she can play.

The Texas Sting pitcher was mowing girls down all week. She is awesome. I think they lost Saturday afternoon.

Those are the only Texas teams that I was able to watch when my DD was not playing. It was great to see Texas teams yelling for each other. ONLY IN TEXAS...

The info I got back from Kentucky really validates what the previous poster stated:

Texas Glory - Foutch , hung in the winners bracket and performed well! Glory-Naudin showed well as well.

The Texas Flames also represented Texas well....I think by the looks of the bracket had a favorable draw and took advantage of it!

The Texas Bombers-Black team drew the toughest first round match up of all the Texas teams...they drew the Northwest Blaze and lost to them 5-3 , from what I heard they wear winning 1-0 going into the fifth and gave up a couple runs in the fifth and then a 3 run homerun in the 6th and then fell short in the rally in the 7th...

The Texas Travelers also from what I was told played very well and drew a very tough first round opponent the Washington Sidewinders...but played very well and lost 2-0. The Travelers then played well in the Losers bracket and represented Texas Well!

The talent that Texas sent to Kentucky was very good , but probobly needs more work to run deeper at that level! I am very proud of them all and look forward to most of those teams making the leap to gold next year!

12U National results:

T 5th Deer Park TPS
T 7th TX Travelers and Kruzers
T 9th RR Blaze
T 13th Spring Sting
T 17th Texas Ladycats, Texas Kaos, Fireball Softball.
T 25th Texas Elite

Great showing by Texas out of 70 teams. The brackets showed alot of TIGHT games between Texas and California which could have went either way. Keeping fighting Texas!!!
