As usual it depends on who is on this weekend. Here's my best guess for the teams to watch.

1) High Voltage - due to have a good tournament
2) Hawks - also due for a strong showing
3) Hit Away
4) Kaos 95
5) TPS 95
6) Jets - if they are on their game
7) The Corps - don't know if this is the 16U team that played in last years tourney or a true 94 or 95. If it is the older (big) team they can hit and have decent pitching. I would hope they wouldn't play down because that is flat out bush league!

It also depends on who has pick up players and what kind of impact players they are.

Good Luck to all!! It should be a beautiful weekend!

It is the '93 Corp - Thompson team. I too, was surprised to see them in the 14U bracket.

My top picks go to (in no particular order) the High Voltage, Hawks, Jets, Kaos 95 & TPS 95.

My picks are:

Championship game Hawks vs High Voltage 94

Kaos,TPS and Jets could win also, but these are the best teams in this tournament.
MY OPINION....

I was wondering why Sk Velocity and Power didnt enter this one but found the Power on VTD
looks like their traveling to Austin to take on the Blaze tournament.

Good luck to all the teams playing this weekend and dont forget to bundle up.

I am surprised to see The Hawks playing 14u as well! They have won several 16/18u tournaments this fall.

The Corps '93 playing in 14u? Can you say trophy hunters? I would be embarrassed to play (and possibly get beat by) '96 players if I am a '93? Wow

I checked out the Corps - Thompson team website on Eteamz and they've played 16/18U & exposures all Fall. They look like they are a decent team. I don't quite get it either. I hope one of the '95 teams sends them home!

The Hawks will be playing 14u in the Spring so I don't see a problem with them playing in this division at the last big tournament of the Fall.
The Corps from what I understand will be playing 16u in the Spring so this is a bit of a shock. I think they won this tournament last year in the 14u division, maybe they figured with the teams in 16u this year they only have a shot if they play down.

High Voltage 94 won the Katy Classic last year. They played Corps in the Championship though. All the teams mentioned have the capability of winning this tournament. It should make for some great games. We will have to see how it plays out. 8-)

Jeeezz! I think you all have too much time on your hands if all you have to worry about is a bunch of 13, 14 and (3) barely 15 year old girls that are playing in a softball tournament!!! Our team conists of 11 girls....5 of which are 94 birthdays! 3 of the 93 birthdays are Oct/Nov/Dec 93's. We have replaced several players and are trying out new players and are using this tournament to give the team a test drive. ;)

The reason we play 18U down in San Antonio is because our 14U tournaments are the equivalent of 12U tournaments in Houston and Dallas.

By the way our team didn't win last year...we came in second after playing 8 games on Sunday because they lost their first bracket game on Saturday!

We aren't looking for trophies....we are looking to play in a tournament that we have enjoyed playing in the last 4 years and having a good time. The girls have to move up to 16U in the spring and won't be able to play together because of high school ball...so they wanted to have one last tournament that they could hopefully compete well in before having to take a break.

If a '95 teams sends us home...oh well!!! If we place in the tournament...then yipppeee! In a hundered years from now...who is gonna give a rats a$$. ;)
