Round Rock High School Tourney - Any Surprises?

Alvin, Bellaire, and Plano West were the last three teams standing. Ft Bend Elkins left undefeated so they would have ended up in the top 3. Great tourney and facilities. Too many teams for a two day tourney as most teams played 6-8 games on Saturday. It was very hard to pitch the ace for the important games on Saturday. What happened to Bowie and Plano Senior White? Must have had an off weekend.

Hendreckson-Lampasas in the cosolation game. Last team from are in was Stoney Point and Bowie

Bellaire beat Alvin 2-1 in the ship. and Alvin hade came back to beat Grapevine to get there.

Anderson 1-2 - Lost to Ft Bend Elkins JV and Kingwood
Austin High School 3-2 - Strong hitting.
Bowie Varsity 4-2 - Strong talent and depth
Bowie JV 0-2 - Pitchers gave up alot of hits
Cedar Park 2-2 - Team run by seniors. Lost to Lampasas and Bowie Varsity
Leander 3-2 - Looked good.
Hendrickson 1-2 - Lost to Plano West and Rusk
McNeil 1-2 - Lost to Bowie Vasity and Leander
Round Rock Maroon 0-2 - lost to Wakeland and Plano East
Round Rock Black 1-2 - lost to Stoney Pt and Leander.
Stoney Point 2-2 - Team looked very good, tough draw with a bye.
Taylor 0-2 - Missing alot of kids
Westlake 3-2 - Pitching was strong.
Westwood 2-3 - lost to Bowie Varsity

Was a good tournament for the most part. There were many weak central texas teams in the mix.

I saw the Bowie pitcher a few times and she was a little off. She pitched good but not great. In the HS finals last year she pitched fabulous.

The north Texas teams looked good across the board.
